I have heard people refer to healthcare as a human right.
I don't see healthcare as a human right.
Am I wrong? ???
-
Depend on your country. up here... we consider basic healthcare to be a right no Canadian should be without
-
I think everyone deserves it. I just think calling it a Human Right is like saying being provided with food is a human right.

Free Healthcare=Socialism.
With the exception of those with disabilities--you don't work, you don't eat.

you don't work, you don't eat.
Exactly.

Or in the case of most Americans, you overeat and don't exercise and get fat, then get diabetic or delve into health problems because they REFUSE to change their eating lifestyle, and expect the government to bail them out?
I'm for the govenment providing healthcare to kids till they are 18, and everyone who is disabled, NOT BECAUSE YOU'RE OVERWEIGHT THOUGH, but people who are paralyzed, mentally unstable, loss of limbs, etc.
After 18, if you're working and healthy, you're on your own.

What if someone living in Manhattan is infected with a highly contagious disease?
Not only is health care a right - it's a societal obligation.

You are canadian? You should add that under your name and save people the time of even debating with you. Anyway, Your great healthcare system is why people cross our border to get appointments. Your health care system is a sham.
