You can't breath when you wear one. You push against your diaphram when you're curling a good amount of weight. They are a gimmick.

That's funny that the other thread was made last night. I was asking people in my gym today if they wanted to sign a 'petition' to get a t-bar row in my gym (hard to believe there isn't one) cause the owner is real cheap and I figured if I get enough sigs he will possibly fork out the money for one. Well anyway people were throwing some other suggestions toward me and someone metioned a arm blaster, I looked it up saw how cheap they were and went and ordered one.

Well maybe you just need to have a strong chest and abs... ::)

No dickface, if your curling 120lbs are you going to concentrate enough to keep your abs tight enough to stop this arm blaster from going into your gut? Try not swinging the weights around like a meathead and you won't have to buy a gimmick product from the 70's

you get these weird crease marks on the back of your arm

We will see who the dickface is after I get it and inform you about how I had no problems curling 120lbs with it on ::)

It's not a gimmick though, the effect is something like a preacher bench. Schwarzenegger still likes em. Incline DB curls using this are much better because the front delts are taken out of it.

The only problem is that depending on the exercise it can sometimes cause back strain.

Why don't you tell the rest of getbig.com that the real reason you bought it was so you could lock your arms into the proper position to hold your boyfriends hips as you pound his rear end into a pound of ground beef.

Yeah when I looked it up it was under Preacher Curl/Bicep Curl category.

i agree, it is hard to breath and it puts pressure on my mid back....the positive thing is it shows ego lifters how to work their biceps without cheating...i don't use them, but i still have the same form, no elbow movement, all bicep.....i get so sick of seeing pros in photos doing curls when at the top their upper arm is parallel to the floor, that is working the front delt, not biceps

your right, it is from juicing and taking gh mixed with genetics and whualla!! you got big arms....when heavy drug use is incorporated, it is not extremly difficult to build large arms....especially since so many pros are under 5'7

How about ANYBODY who buys an armblaster just fesses up that they've been on Ironage.com and watching Pumping Iron and get upset at the drugs these days and think they rationalize that the older dudes worked better with less. They then find an arm blaster and then make threads about it.

your right...that is used too much....they do work very hard with all aspects, eating, sleeping, training hard, etc....i will never say pros or drug users are lazy....i left that out, my bad....BUT, with those aspects, building arms does not require as much time or proper form when using gear....isn't it obvious by most pros training vids....some guys, chick for example, use excellent form while others just throw shit around, hence the photos i was talking about

I just plan to us it on ocassion to change things up and make it a little harder then normal, mostly though I want to try it on tricep press downs.

this is why the public consider the BB community meat heads...maybe while you're there pick yourself up the amazing ab blaster?

gimmick with capital G. Probably helped those in the 70s that didnt have a clue how to stand or anything about mechanics. And this BS that you cant cheat while wearing it?....nothing stopping the upper torso from rocking still.

its a waste of money unless you find it impossible to stand straight and lift symmetrically and disciplined. if you cant, remember there are no such devices for the rest of your entire body...

And yet you provide absolutely no basis for why it's no good hahahahaha They're not the same as standing curls, they keep the elbows from moving in a different way than any form of standing curls. For incline DB curls they're much better for bis than the standard ones that hit the front delts alot.

Why would it work for isolation and not for size? It's basically the same idea as preacher curls.

Whenever you want "thickness & mass" you don't do isolation exercises, why? Because it stops you from going heavieR, and you need more of a flexibility to go heavieR.
How long have you been lifting btw pumpster? Curious question dude

Preacher curls are great for size, you can go heavy and they're not an isolation movement. Doing curls with an arm blaster's similar, and still allows cheating but in a different way, with the elbows prevented from moving.

settle down Borat.  You realize that the "Aryan" you claim to be is not the same as what Hitler claimed to be, right?

Plus, you're not white.

The human body has a built in "arm blaster" called shoulders.  When used properly they ensure your upper arms remain parallel to your torso during bicep curls so you don't swing the weight.
