Title: king kamali and puma?
Post by: Cavalier22 on May 20, 2007, 01:21:03 PM
Awhile back someone claimed that King signed a 700K endorsement deal with Puma.  I believe it was Disgusted, maybe not.  There is absolutely no way that is true, but someone confirm or deny this please.

Don't listen to the haters. Yes, Kamali did sign a deal with PUMA. Which is one of the reasons he can afford to live, eat, train for bbing contest, despite not making a dime from it.

he isnt in the mags anymore nor does he place good and no longer does anyone care about his mouth - he hasnt backed up what he said even years ago and no one pays any attention to him anymore.

I'd like to know how the deal works.  What benefit does he give the company?  They are like 4-5th in the shoe industry.  It's not like he can help shoe or clothing sales.  Just curious.  Does Barbara, a NY broker, know someone on the board and the member set it up a deal as a tax write off?  700K for 2 yrs?  I'm thinking 70K per yr or over 2 yrs.

You guys misunderstood what King said.  What he said was, "My sponsers are running away faster than a Puma."

I really doubt that a company as large as Puma wound sponsor someone like this guy.  They are trying to sell a product.  They would probable get a negative Return on Investment with this guy.
