Thanks to Figo for the info. I thought it would get more action/response, on the primary board.
I guess I'm not confused, they just need pictures of the articles for sale... wouldn't you think?

"...* Extremely Used Posing Trunks, $340/each: Various Colors. Circa '80s. Tom has continued to wear them through the years - he says they are so comfortable - some of them are pretty ratty and worn. BTW, Lee Priest was given a few pairs of Tom's posing trunks for his birthday."

platz's first squat rack would be a cool buy.

Agreed. That would have to come from "Armento's Gym" In Detroit. I trained there twice in the summer of 1980. Real cool place. Long time ago.
Armento's, had one 45lbs plate C-clamped to each side of the Olympic bars, so no runts could ever used less than 135lbs, when using the O-bars. ;D

Simple. He stopped taking drugs and now his fake muscles have all vanished. I recall he used to compare himself to Robert Redford. In his frigging dreams.

Tom actually did pretty well marketing himself back in his heyday.

I'm going to flip some of those extremely used posing trunks...according to the latest Beckett's, they're way undervalued.

Tom actually did pretty well marketing himself during his prime! I guess he didn't intelligently invest his money and is broke now. That's kind of sad.
-
guy is only 52. plenty of time to get a real job before retirement
-

Or maybe, just maybe, Tom wants to see how dumb the average gym rat really is and make a piece of coin on their shitheadery.
-
Maybe he just doesn't care much about these "mementos" of his career, and he's trying to cash in while closing that chapter in his life.
I dont think he cares much bout bbing and training or lifestyle nowadays.
-
who cares about some junk medal that isn't even a valuable mineral. what is it, nickel silver? just another piece of junk to sell at auction. some collector should have it, an appreciator of sorts. but holding onto to posing trunks for 30 years? don't you find that odd? who knows, i'm sure there must be a collector for that too.
-
does anyone know what tom's doing these days?
i'd picture him as a salesman or he has his own business.
