stupid as fuck.
what about the rest of your body.
it will only work if you do only those squats.
there is no way your body would be able to repair them in one day aone unless you limited your working out to just quads, so you bodies recuperation abilities will be entirely focused on them.

I'd still do benching, deads, arms, shoulders, on their days.
I'm talking about one all-out set of squats before nighttime shower each night. Just one slow and heavy set. Would it cause an anabolic release (or whatever the wording is)?

WHy not give it a try and tell us the results. I would eat a lot of calories, like peanuts that pack them on but dont make you feel full (also have lots of protein) during this week. Try it and then dont train them for two weeks...give the body time to heal. I would also vary the type of squats, poundage and reps for maximum muscle stimulation. It cant hurt to try and force new growth by shocking your legs, and it will give your upper body time to heal.
I've done similar things with arms...just to break up the muscle memory.
Good luck!

Hmm. Seems a bit too much like overtraining to me. Squats are hard work, even one day a week.

if it's actually one set, and not a "mentzer" one set, then it wouldn't be a smart way to go. Your first set of any exercise doesn't recruit the maximum amount of muscle fibers = less than maximal exertion = less than maximal amount of muscle breakdown = less hypertrophy.
Now if you did 5 sets of squats every night :o

It is actually possible to squat every day, some olympic weightlifters squat every day with multiple sessions a day.
-
I think every second day would be the way to go... you better warm up properly before you do the set though!
I couldn't do it myself, that'd be a recipe for sore hips.

you can't and will never grow

dude one set of all out squats is equivalent to one set of all out sprints. you are pushing your legs to failure, big deal. you have to do that and more to go above and beyond great natural lifters/athletes

True, but usually for doubles or triples - nowhere near failure - or 'all-out set of squats,' whatever that is.
