I'm still trying to get why a rich black guy wants a dog specifically bred to guard slaves.

Certainly the petwits will say the dogs were provoked or something to that effect.

It is impossible to know exactly what happened, no matter how much you speculate.  Why can't actors just get normal dogs?  Do you really need to have exotic breeds that have inherent desires for out of the ordinary behaviors?  Ving Rhames needs a Golden Retriever.

Impressive looking dog. 

I wouldn't call him a low life, he just has a rare dog.  This guy that got mauled was paid to to take care of the dogs.  He worked for him for 2 years prior to his demise.  I would say he chose to be in a dangerous situation.

His homeowner's insurance will end up footing most of the bill on this one. Cnsidering the articles it seems he doted on the dogs pretty heavily so it's hard to believe they were mistreated. In the same vein, it's kind of unusual for dogs to suddenly snap like that. Even so... 'snapping' like that is definately more common in pure-bred dogs, all the inbreeding eventually must fuck with their brains.

A close friend had this huge harlequin (sp?) dane. Poor thing lost it over a week or so. Went from being a well behaved goofy dog to a maniac in that period and became so violent that it had to be put down.
