to give me a little rest, I only train every other day until september-october when I will start to train 5 days a week 2 times a day Milos style.
but for now I trained like this for the last 2 week
day 1: back/traps ( and rear delts), biceps
day 2: legs
day 3: chest (anterior delts), triceps
repeat
I only do basic movements in example:
day 1: Pull-up
Deadlift
barbell rows
Up-right rows
and I finish with some side laterals with a weird grip to hit the rear delts more for a sets of 30 reps
only 1 set per exercise. I was septic but after watching blood and guts I decided to try it
it's a nice change in my routine, I wouldn't train the whole year like this but it is very hard since you know that you only have 1 sets to destroy your muscles so you give it all
when I say 1 set per exercise, I also use drop sets or cloyster sets
any of you guys train that way too ?

The Dorians way destroy and stimulate your muscle fiber more. But,its very easy to overtrain.
I liked that. But You cant repeat everytime.Needless to say,if you are a natural.

I am "off" for now so that's why I train less often
if I am "on" I train almost every day

What do you call "ON"? Preparing for the show?

no I call "on" , taking "supplements"
-
whatever you're doing you look fantastic Stavee.

no I call "on" , taking "supplements"
huh. I understand.
But even you are "ON",if you keep on train like Dorian,i think you would get overtrainning soon.
but,Milos way, NOT.

I don't understand the low volume approach if you're going for hypertrophy, but I guess you gotta try it to assess it right. Are you hitting everything twice a week, and how many rest days a week?
-
its interesting that people on gear train minimally when off..that goes to show the difference in results.
hence the term "all drugs"
and I agree Stavios does look good..keep up the hard work

youll lose size doing that, stavios

Which? Dorians way?
dugdales way

dugdales way
1 set allout is the typical Dorian way. Also Dugdale said "After watching Blood &Guts".
If you do heavy dosage of gear, its very good way. Actualy, its the best.
BUT WE ARE AFRAID OF OVERTRAINING AND INJURY.

agree completely - but stav runs small cycle. he'll look like a handsome Croatch with dugdale training.

My approach to training is a close copy of the Dorian/Dugdale type of training. When I compare it to Dugdale's, there are three differences. First, days 1 and 2 switch places. Since I am prioritizing chest, I don't want to train chest on the following session after legs. Second, I sometimes do two sets per exercise to failure, if I feel it is needed. This is offset by the fact that I do fewer exercises than Dugdale. Third, I tend to take more than one day of rest between training days. This is because I feel I need to rest more (natural) and also due to practicalities (work).
What can I say about that type of training... I started with volume just like everybody does when I was young, which for me was close to 20-years ago. Over time, I noticed that I was getting growth and strength spurts every time I was lowering my volume. For me, this has been the cornerstone of my training for as long as I can remember. I also don't think that the style of training as such makes you more prone to injuries. Just looking at the pro circuit today, I see a lot of guys getting injured from volume training. It is all about using a weight that you can control.
Would I recommend this type of training to everybody? I don't know. It has given me good results, but I still remember when I was young and it felt weird doing less to get more, but the results were there. I also like the fact that each and every time I go to the gym, I am looking forward to my training. I know I will be there only for a short while (30-40 minutes) and am ready to give it 100% from the start.
Sorry, no pics.
