New York New York is great, the steakhouses are great there. Golds on Sahara blvd and decatur is where Jay trains, you may run into him. Check out the splash show it is fantastic. Once you've been to 1 casino, the rest are much the same, goto ceasars palace, great mall and great restaraunts. Stay away from downtown, the strip is where it is all at you want to see. The spearamint rhino for strip clubs totally nude, or scores for topless "you can drink there."
Walk around the wynn, the newest hotel here, mirage is cool as well as the show outside treasure island at night, the waterfalls at the bellagio too. Save you're money, and spent wisely, don't gamble too much, and when you're up a decent amount walk away.
Hope this helps, pm me for anything additional, I live here.

I go a few times a year every year. If you will be there on sunday Rehab is a must. It's at the Hard Rock Pool. Get there early it is packed!
Also Thurs. through Saturday is Drais in the Barbary Coast. Best damn after hours in that city. Don't get there until at least 2:00am. Another good after hours on Saturday nights is Empire Ballroom. Then they have an after after hours called Seemless, a bit sketchy but fun, it's a strip club that turns into an afterhours club at 10am.
Best club to start off at i probably Tao at Venetian or Ghost bar at the Palms. Trendy spots but the fun in Vegas starts after 2:00am with the places I listed above.
Dinner depends on what your spending, I generally like eating well on vacation so I like Spago in Caesars and Le Cirque in the Bellagio. those are hot spots and shouldn't be avoided. Buffet is awesome at the Wynn and Paris.
Gambling is best at the Wynn and TI (treasure Island) good atmosphere's.
That is all you need man. Just trust all of these details, I am a Vegas aficionado.

You can attend the craig titus tourbus which shows you all the notorious spots.

Stay on the strip. Honestly, you don't need to hit the clubs to see women. There are gorgeous chicks everywhere all the time. Fun place. Bring jiimmies, lots of jimmies.

Gorgeuos chicks are a give you go to Vegas to party, hot girls just come attached to that. Generally I find dudes that go out to just try and get girls are guys that A. have no game B. probably don't get laid much I never go out with the intentions of getting laid, it's just a given, so I go to party.

Suggested LV places to visit depends on your age, but I'm thinking that you are under 30, so here are some suggestions ......
Meet the ladies......
The Rehab Party on Sundays at the Hard Rock. My last visit - you had to be a hotel guest to get in, but that may have changed this late in summer.
The Palms and their Fantasy Suites and nightclubs - Ghostbar, Moon, and the Playboy Club (Last time I checked there was a $40 cover charge.)
Just about all the nightclubs in the Strip casinos, but pick up some free passes from some of the guys handing them out along the Strip between Paris and the MGM Grand. A small tip will save ya $20 or more. Take as many as you can get and visit each and every one of them if you have the time.
VooDoo Lounge at the Rio for good looking ladies and Strip views.
NOTE: Lines into these nightclubs start forming up around 10 pm, so expect to do some waiting unless you can get some line passes. Ask around. Some of the better bellmen and valet guys might be helpful. If them do come through - TIP 'em!
Tanning....
Great pools here.
Best pool is at the Mandalay Bay with a wave pool, a lazy river, a poolside casino, and a private European style pool that requires admission.
European (topless) pools are also available at Caesars and the Wynn and possibly a couple of other hot spots.
Best pools are at MB, Caesars, Bellagio, Mirage, the Wynn, and Hard Rock.
Check out the new pool/shark tank at the Golden Nuggat (downtown)
Best Eats .....
Good food all over town but I'll recommend only those I prefer (meaning that the food is good and relatively inexpensive).
For a real cheap, good meal, try Ellis on Koval behind Paris Hotel Casino. The Steak Special is about $5, but you won't find it "IN" the menu. Just point to the photo of the steak dinner on the menu cover and ask for it. Or even better, try the prime rib (about $8). The GIMMICK here is that you have to wait for a table even if the place is empty and the service is not the best in town. The "Wait" is to get you to do some gambling, so sit at the beer bar and have some great $2 casino made brews. After dinner, rip off that $5 Match Play deal on the placemat and take a chance on one of the tables. It's a decent bet.
Oreans Buffet is good and cheap but the coffee shop has a great prime rib deal at about $13.
Any buffet on the Strip will do their best to convince you that their $24 buffet is the best in town. Don't believe it. A $12 buffet will be just as satisfyng.
If you want a good and large breakfast, try the Peppermill a few doors down from the north edge of the Wynn. Always had good meals there.
If downtown, try Triple Georges'.
Sightseeing ......
Do the walking tour through all the major hotels.
Take the monorail tour on the backside of the Strip.
Watch the fountains after dark in front of the Bellagio.
Go to the top of the Stratosphere and ride all three "rides" at nite.
Visit downtown at nite and watch the Fremont Experience. (Once is more than enough).
Gambling ......
Play smart and gamble cheap. Look for low minimum tables. Here's a couple ....
Slot's O Fun next door to Circus Circus has $1 blackjack. (One table, usually packed, so go early or expect to wait.) They also offer $3 games.
The Casuria Hotel Casino (East Flamingo - one block off the Strip) offers $1 Craps from 5 pm to 10 pm on Monday/Tues/Wens/Thurs evenings. (And the Ellis Island dining spot is almost right across the street on Koval Lane.)
Not too many $5 tables on the Strip so take your gambling action to the neighborhood joints like the Orleans, unless you plan to lose a lot of money real fast or feel extremely lucky.
NOTE: Penny machines can be profitable if you can be satisfied with a $5 win and walk away when that happens. Play a twenty and if/when it reaches $25, take a walk.
If you have the tikme, check out the Hoover Dam and notice the unbelievable construction that is underway to take the Nevada - Arizona traffic off the dam. This just might prove to be the wirhth wonder of the world.
And Red Rock and Valley of Fire.
Have a good time

Thanks so much guys! (esp. XFACTOR, stuntmovie and chainsaw) I'm going down with the girlfriend ... just to clarify, I'm 28, she's 26... so kind of up for everything, will definetly check out Drais and Rehab if we get the chance. Don't really gamble so I don't have to worry about coming back broke but really interested in all the glitz, glamour and stuff around the area (grand canyon, area 51, etc.)

I can't stand Vegas. I think it is a cesspool of the lowest rank of human beings.

Transtation:
I didn't get laid there, lost all my cash, and I got beat up by a bouncer at tao!

OK! When taking your girlfriend. I gotta recommend the following...
Dinner at Charlie Palmer's in the Four Seasons ...... part of the Mandlay Bay.
And lunch at Triple George's downtown.
It's what the local folks might do for honeymoons or anniversaries.

Yeah, Vegas is cool - I went there for two weeks back in April - stayed at the Planet Hollywood (which used to be the Aladdin). Bit pissed off cos it was only half finished (casino was excellent but still the same old rooms) and there was a lot of building work going on on the outside of the hotel and across the road where they're building the Cosmopolitan. If you're going to be doing a lot of walking about stay centre strip like I did - everything is easier to get to that way.
Overall it's a great place and it was my second time there and I'm definitely going back. Only trouble is, I'm married so I can't exactly go checking out the talent in the clubs >:( Saw plenty of high quality poontang though. :P
Best places to go are Bellagio, MGM Grand, Venetian and Wynn Resort (the best pool is at the Mandalay Bay but you probably already knew that) but if you want to do some stuff on the cheap go downtown and check out the Golden Nugget which has had a makeover.
Also try and get out the town as well and check out Primm which is a small town in the middle of nowhere on the California border - it's got three huge casino hotels and a decent shopping mall.
-
I recommend hitting Makino for the all-you-can-eat sushi buffet. There are two locations in Vegas, I believe (off the strip), and lunch is the best deal going, and sushi is good.
Also, try to get over to Chinatown and eat at Sam Woo's barbeque. The salty chicken is out of this world.
Most of the clubs and after hours I was gonna recommend have already been mentioned. Be sure to have a drink in the Voodoo Lounge at the top of the Rio, it's the best view in town. And then go to the Wine Cellar downstairs in the Rio for a wine tasting.
:)

You can drink at the Spearmint Rhino. I don't like it too much, too many Asian girls when I went there. There is a club in Wynn, don't remember the name, but it had a waterfall in the back. It is pretty cool and not as dark as the other clubs there. I can't stand those clubs where you can't see 2 feet in front of your face. Don't make the mistake of sleeping all day like some of my dumb ass friends do. Sometimes the pools can be as much fun as the clubs. If you are afraid of flying with blow, go down to the Stratosphere and ask the valet where you can get some. He'll hook you up. Take a lot of vicodins with you too, nothing worse than going to Vegas and needing to sleep imo. Also, I am not sure why someone would workout in Vegas unless they are there for a long time. You will be drunk the whole trip, so relax and don't worry about working out.

Btw. one more question for you guys.. we're supposed to arrive mon. which is labour day... I'm assuming since it's Vegas everything (or almost everything) will still be open.. no ?
thanks.
-
YES it will be open.
-
The O show at the Bellagio. Get tickets before you go.
PHENOMENAL entertainment worth every penny.
-
Usually nohing ever closes here. Most casinos don't even have front doors. And if they have front doors, 99% of them don't have locks and keyhoes.
"O" is great but I prefer KA at the MGM Grand. My cousin performs for Cirque so I've seen all the ones in Las Vegas and personally think that KA is the best show in town and Zumanity at NY NY is the worst.
I hear that there is a Japanese troupe in town similar to the Cirque performances down at the Sahara. Have not seen that show yet, but it is getting damn good reviews.
I'm used to sushi restaurants over in Hawaii where it's damn near impossible for me to drum up a food bill over $9 (and I eat lots), but here in LV that same sushi meal cost me close to $40 in the Japanese place at the Orleans. But I hear that there are sushi buffets in town in the $20 price range. Correct???
