Except the dumbells were probably lighter than claimed.

Steve Neece heft-tested them and concluded this.

A shame, huh.

"the good ole' days" is a phrase said by delusional, close minded fuckwits who cant acccept progress.

sorry arvilla....while it doesnt apply so much in this situation; as physique assesmment really does vary from one person to another, i had to let that out...because i hate conservative, anti-change, intolerant close minded bastards!!

yep, confirmed by Steeve neece, IMO that's still fairly impressive weight for the amount of reps they did but come on who on earth can curl 100 pound db's and a 225 pound barbell for countless reps?

Troy works out at the gym I train at in Costa Mesa, I see him almost every morning, he has a anti-aging clinic and is doing very well, and it shows in the Lamborghini he has >:(. Troy and I competed quite a bit against each other when we were teens, I beat him and he beat me, it was fun back then, then Rory got ahold of him and he just blew up!!!

For a time Troy was like Joe  Weiders wet dream..a big blonde handsome californian (remember Dave Draper aka "The Blond Bomber")...he was all over every Weider publication. Seemed representative of the "ideal" Weider used to advertise the sport, his mags and products. Glad to hear life is good for Troy!

Great job for a bodybuilder, legal drug dealing LOL

that first clip is cool as hell and shows how great BB was back in the day....it was on f'n ESPN for God's sake, probably never happen again.  Troy looked great in a bunch of amatuer shows back in the day, to bad he never did anything as a pro.  You'll notice Franco Santoriello is the LHW winner, that guy......man, I thought he was gonna be GREAT as a pro but again he never did a thing.  It's weird that the most "successful" guy up there is David Dearth, not that Dave's a bad guy but look at that posedown and tell me he was gonna be the best pro in that line-up.  Whatever happened to Alan Inchonosie or whatever his name is?

Doesn't look like much. I guess that's what you have in common.

He looks pretty good in this pic but all the other ones show his weaknesses too much.

Another WBF casualty.
Very good bodybuilder at the time, but the timing was all wrong for him. While he had superb abs, his main downfall was a midsection that always looked too blocky.
