So I have been doing the Crossfit workouts for the last two and a half weeks, along with some addtional weightlifting and running, but dear god, I have come a long way in regards to stamina! It truly has been nice to take a step out of the box and try something really different. I highly encourage any law officer/fire fighters to take a look at this program! It breaks up the monotony of your average "weightlifter's" program and puts your energy into functional exercises for strength and endurance! I love it! anybody else tried it?

I've tried it myself, worked some things into my PT sessions and highly recommend it to many of my friends look to "change things up" it but it's similar to how I train anyway. I like how they use lots of compound lifts (squats, pullups, snatches, cleans, deadlifts) as well as stressing cardiovascular strength.
It's actually really good for many sports if you incorporate some more specific movements.

I have really enjoyed it so far! I like the challenge of the WOD!

I just did the 400m walking lunges Tuesday and I am so sore I can hardly walk... I was thinking that didn't sound that hard and planned to do some other things after I completed that workout, but about half way through, I hit the wall... the last 100m, I was pushing off my thighs just to finish it...amazing workout! I challenge anyone who hasn't tried it to give it a go for just a week!
