Well the lil guy is home... He looks okay minus the side that is all jacked up.. He has 2 drain tubes and 70 stiches. Everytime he looks at us, it's almost as if he is saying "I am so glad to be home." I am so glad that we didn't give up on him.

damn he looks like he has been thru alot ----- take the advice of Vet and Geo --- take the legal high road, give em hell ------ small claims is inexpensive but you have to be patient

Great news Sin!!
You may recall awhile back my post about those cones. From what I understand, they can be very disturbing (put one on and find out ;) I guess it can cause a vertigo sensation which can induce nausea along with sound waves being distorted and amplified. Not that the poor guy doesn't have other issues to contend with, but I figured you'd want to be aware...

Honestly, I have never seen anything like that from a fkn saline feed to rehydrate a dog. WTF! >:(
Is he all better from what was making him sick? Is he eating?
EDIT: I just read what Vet said in the other thread about giving fluids to septic dogs, but still!!! >:(

Well everyone the best part is he is home. Like some of you had said. He does look pretty bad, the wife has cried a couple of times from looking at him. I figure it's just a war story for him to tell the girls. (J/k) I have to make jokes or I wouldn't pull through this. As Geo and Vet have both mentioned I am planning on taking the high road. Even though it would be great to handle it a differant way. I thought I would also add in this thread we just found out that we are having our first child... WOOOOOO WHOOOOOOOOO!
Chaos is eating good the little bastard will be back to full weight in just a minute. He ate like it was going out of style last night. I had to take his food away and he is loving that the wife is giving him treats again. Well thank you all for your support and care. It has really helped us pull through. Also Geo your not half bad for being an ugly old fuck... And Sanchez is dead.. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

OH!!! :'( I've got tears here.
I hope you can hold him and kiss him a lot.
Hopefully it will be soon when he's running around happy and fully recovered.

Sin, after this is over he won't remember a thing. He will have no recollection of the pain and the stitches or anything. Dogs don't dwell on things or feel sorry for themselves. As soon as this is over, it will be like it never happened.
And as an aside, I don't mean to instigate, but I would be going absolutely ballistic on the vet that is responsible for this IF they are in the wrong. Vet knows his stuff, I don't =P

Yeah he has already tried to scratch them out.. I had to tape a sock over his foot. He hates that more then the stiches but with the cone he has a hard time getting to his foot. ;D Yeah Temper I would love to be in the other Vets face and letting them know, but I cant for 3 reasons.. 1) I am 2 months off of getting off probation that I have been on for 3 years. ( It's not worth taking the risk and serving 2 and a half over something) 2) The wife won't let me. 3) because I am going to do this the legal way and I don't want her to have anything to say about me doing something and jeoperdizing my case... So yeah I am hella pissed but letting the courts handle it will be way better.

Those are stiches he had to get 70 total.. And it wasn't a blockage, I never got a full answer to what it was.. That is from where his skin turned rotten and dead from the fluids he was given by another Vet more or less they had to remove 12 inches long by 5 inches high.. I don't know how it got sowed back up like that because he was missing skin from side to side. Not the way he is sowed up..

what do the vets think might have happened? it wasn't parvo or a blockage and if he was septic, wouldnt blood work have confirmed that right away?

I do try to keep him from overeating but then again I don't like his bowl to be empty and he is so skinny. He weighed close to 50 pounds when we took him in. He came home ten pounds lighter. He lost a lot of his mass. It sucks. I am not a big guy but my dogs were blessed with the muscles.... ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Thanks Chucka should be home today.. Hopefully.. And they are doing good. thanks for the congrats from you guys.. Naw rip the dogs will still get plenty of attention there the original Babies.....

Yeah both of the boys are gaining weight back. I just want my boys back up to that 50 area... To where everyone gives them compliments. I can't stand the fact that we live in such a small town. Our neighbor lady was giving me a hard time about Chaos looking funny with his cone.. So she asked what happened and I said that the Vet fucked him up.. She obviously knew the vet pretty well and was like " ohhhh Bobby would never do that. She's great." I jumped on my opportunity and told her she is great at costing people a ton of money and almost killing peoples pets... It didn't go over that well, but hell you can't make them all happy huh!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Man, I wouldn't mess with a group like that. They tend to be more nut than helpful....
Report to the state board of veterinary examiners, discuss legal action, hire a lawyer if necessary. Seriously, I'd avoid those people like the plague if you hope to get any real medical reimbursement or license censurship.
