I'm speechless. That fight sucked ass. Mirko's passion is gone, he looked lifeless and lost against some bullshit fighter. Man, I'm pissed that there was no fire in him at all, two wild kicks and that's it. Fucking bullshit.

It's a combination of being out of K-1 for so long and as Kongo said pre-fight, "he's maybe lacking certain substances."

Mirko does terribly when he is on his bycycle. Kongo's jab, and roundhouse kick, whether it was to the body or inside kick had Mirko backpedalling. Where was the triangle attempt, or the armbar? He climbed Kongo's back to his shoulders. He seemed content to push off and stand up, why I have no idea, because he was getting scored on consistently on his feet. And his clinch game was sorely lacking. He needs to get out of Croatia, and train with a good team to prepare him.

I don't think he wants to be part of the UFC anymore, or maybe even fight anymore. There had been alot of talk about retirement, and I think his head's not in the game at the moment.

Pretty obvious he just doesn't care nor have the desire to fight anymore. He should have retired after he won the GP.

That was my opinion as well. Lets be honest here, Kongo is not the greatest but he clearly won last night. Like I said in another post Kongo looked a lot larger. Cro Cop was much to tentative in this fight. He should have been more aggressive with his kicks considering that it wasn't very likely that Kongo would have gone for a take down. The whole fight it appeared as if Cro Cop was looking for that one knockout punch or kick and had absolutely no other strategy to speak of.

I agree with you.. He just doesn't have it in him any more.. He seemed to have come in with a game plan...Then as soon as he got popped ,,it went out the wiondow...Same thing with Gonzaga..As soon as Gonzaga popped him...He tried to avoid getting hit by backing up instread of defending himself?

Some of you guys out here make me sick! You guys are out here saying "Mirko lost his heart" he "is done" or " a broken rib is no big deal". Are you ******* kidding me? A broken rib is a HUGE ******* deal!!!
What happened to Kalib Starnes when he "cracked" a rib against Kendall Grove?? He ******* quit almost immediatley! What about BJ Penn when he fought Hughes.....he lasted about 3 minutes. And finally what about when Rampage fought Shogun?? He sat there and took soccer kicks to the head rather than another rib shot.
Broken ribs TOTALLY DISABLES a fighter. You use your lungs to breathe and they are directly behind your ribs. Wanna try to throw a punch?? Well guess what...your pectorals, serratus and lat tie ins are all connected to...guess what.....your ******* ribs.
Mirko stayed in there and did not quit immediatley like Starnes, he lasted longer angainst a much better striker than Hughes and he did way better than Rampage.
You can tell who is a fighter and who is not on this forum. To say Mirko has no heart is a ******* INSULT and you should try being in his shoes. How was he doing before the rib injury???? ******* great. Dominated, had him in the mount. Post injury....he still did amazing by taking body kick after body kick, and much lesser men would have quit.
Yes, he lost his fight to Gomzaga because he took him lightly. But to say he gave up here is a ******* laughable! Get off your ******* high horse and go die!

Cro Cop initially decided that it was unnecessary to practice in a cage. Now he is playing catch up. He also appeared to have no strategy and was looking for a knockout from the start. He lost not beause his heart failed but because he had no strategy. Plus, Kongo looked a lot more jacked since last I saw him.

Mirko's heart is gone, watch his fights in pride on youtube and you will see a lion that struck fear into his opponents. He dosen't have the eye of the tiger anymore. In the clinch he didn't even try throwing a knee or elbow....nothing! Just sat there taking shot after shot. Really weird to see him like this, but what can you do, it happened to roy jones and other great fighter too. :-\

The guy had a FUCKING broken rib... How much could you do with a broken rib.. granted he doesn't look like the Mirko of old. I am just sick of everyone who was a Crocop nut hugger saying he's washed up, he sucks, he's done... Shit whatever hurry and jump on the Houston Alexander wagon before one of those wheels fall off.

Take a pill man. From the start of the fight he hardly did a thing. Walking towards your opponent and doing nothing isnt great. Fine, his rib was broken, but up untill that point he wasn't doing great, he was looking for that one knock out blow and that was it, not much of a plan there if you ask me. Plus seeing him on the ground makes me cringe, he looks like a fish out of water.

How are his kicks average? Those roundhouse kicks to the body looked brutal and apparently broke his rib.
He's not slow, he just feels out his opponent.
To say the guy that beat the former #2 ranked heavyweight at his own game is "the future" isn't a stretch by any means.

Mirko fooled us again.
Ever since those back to back loses to Fedor and Hunt were he RAN he tricked us that he was 'back". His OWGP win was setup for him to have a chance to win...because he was crying after the Hunt fight that he was going to retire and this and that.
So Pride feed him...Minowa...lol...Yos hida...Wand...and finally a HW Barnett that he had beaten twice before.
He always lost the big ones...Nog beat him when he was "SCARY" then in the GP he got Ko'd by Randleman...then came back and looked like shit against a Japanese tomato can. Fedor then beat him when he was supposely at his best. Dont get me wrong he has some quality wins but he was never champion material...he looked like it but some how he couldnt win the big one.

If the broken rib is true, off course that itself could be the reason of his defeat but even like that is strange...Mirko didnt fought any of his 3 fights very good (even the one he won). He just doesnt seem like himself
Maybe is a mental thing, that is affecting him...and i already saw that in many guys (Vitor Belfort is a obvious example...only now after years MAYBE he is getting together). Here in brazil many people speculates if the 2 losses of Wanderlei ended his carreer already, and with this, people here are afraid of seeying CroCop going the same route.
Now i only can think IF a guy like Hunt got in UFC in the place of CroCop. The guy could have destroyed all Mirko oponents until now in his sleep.... :-\
