I can't believe this insanity. We're nearly 6 years into Iraq and it's still a giant clusterfukk yet here we are on the verge of starting another war.
At some point this insanity has to come to an end, 15 months can't come soon enough.

Bush doesn't want to leave a Nuclear Iran....I agree with that premiss but the timing sucks.
-
A nuclear Iran is an inevitability.
The only way to stop it is to invade and conquer and we'll have 3 more Iraqs as Iran is 3 times the size
-
how are we 'about to start another war'??
-
What you didn't know?
We're about to carry out massive bombing raids on Cuba, it's going to get ugly. Bush wants to get rid of that old bastard commie once and for all before his second term is done.

The US will not send troops into Iran, they are either bombing them back into the Stoneage or Isreal will use their forces to "invade" Iran while the US gives them heavy airsupport cruise missle support asf.

Ahmadinejad warns against attack
Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has issued a tough warning to any country considering an attack on Iran.
He said Iran's forces were just for defence, but that anybody who attacked would experience nothing but regret.
He urged those he called the occupiers in the region - an apparent reference to the US and its allies in Iraq - to admit defeat and withdraw their troops.
Mr Ahmadinejad was speaking at a huge annual military parade marking the anniversary of the Iran-Iraq War.
On display at the parade was Iran's latest military hardware, including new long-range missiles and Saeqeh fighter jets.
According to the Associated Press news agency some of the lorries carrying Iranian missiles bore anti-US and anti-Israeli slogans.
"Those who prevented Iran, at the height of the [1980-88 Iran-Iraq] war from getting even barbed wire must see now that all the equipment on display today has been built by the mighty hands and brains of experts at Iran's armed forces," Mr Ahmadinejad said.
"Learn lessons from your past mistakes. Don't repeat your mistakes," he added.
UN address
His comments come ahead of his high-profile visit to the US next week, where he will address the UN General Assembly in New York, amid continuing tension over Iran's nuclear programme.
Mr Ahmadinejad said that neither threats nor economic sanctions would curb Iran's technological advances.
"Those [countries] who assume that decaying methods such as psychological war, political propaganda and the so-called economic sanctions would work and prevent Iran's fast drive toward progress are mistaken," the president said.
The speech comes at the end of a tense week, with the French Foreign Minister, Bernard Kouchner, warning of the danger of war with Iran over its nuclear programme.
The BBC's Jon Leyne in Tehran says Mr Ahmadinejad believes he is winning the battle for world opinion - a fight he is now taking to the UN General Assembly in New York.
The US has called for a third round of UN economic sanctions to pressure Iran into halting uranium enrichment, which it says is part of a secret plan to acquire nuclear weapons.
Iran has denied the charge, declaring that its nuclear programme is peaceful and solely aimed at producing energy.

I missed the sarcasm for a brief moment and I was like "oh nooooooooo" and envisioned myself getting blown up by a misfired bomb :D

Oh, as if Clinton, Obama, or Edwards of the DEms or Rudy, Romney, or Thompson of the Repubs would do anything different? They still bow to foreign interest groups, particularily Israel, and all realize that being involved in some sort of war is good for the survivial of the economy. The frontrunners of each party know that the US needs oil and know that it takes very unpopular decisions to obtain it. Both parties LIE, LIE, LIE...one purports to want to end the war immediately, the other states repeatedly that terrorists are rampant everywhere looking to kill millions of americans. Alternative energy sources? Not by a long shot, with how influential Big Oil is on Capitol Hill and the economic ramifications of rapidly displacing oil as a main energy source.
The only candidates who are telling the truth and are willing to steer away from this are Dennis Kucinich, D-OH, and Ron Paul, R-TX. But we all know how those two are alone have frequenlty been the target of media smear campaigns, poll manipulations, and often get left out of debates.

Iran is close to Israel.
Only a matter of time before we have to start a war with them.

The way things are going... it can be difficult to distinguish between farfetched sarcasm, and Bush foreign policy.
Both seem to bear an uncanny resemblance to each other day after day, ...so don't feel so bad. ;D

Judi,
Iranians were responsible for 911. :)
Remember... "A nuclear Iran would destabilize the entire region".

Judi,
Iranians were responsible for 911. :)
First it was bin Laden, then AlQ cells, then Afghans, ...then it was Saddam and the Iraqi's, ...now the Persians?
Who the heck can keep up? I'm sleepy... wake me when they start blaming Canadians for 911.
Remember... "A nuclear Iran would destabilize the entire region".
And we all know the middle east is an extremely stable region... and has been for years huh?
Personally I think the focus is incorrectly placed. It is India & China that together have the ability to forever tip the economic balance for decades to come. Those are the ties that need to be shored up, solidified and made more concrete to be in the best interests of the West.

I don't know what you're talking about. :)

Keep trying...you've might "win" a war sooner or later :P

we are winning the wars, you goofs!
Was the real goal EVER to occupy and conquer and change everyone there? Or was the goal just to grab the oil?
If the goal was to grab the oil, then it's working. We have secured oil pipeline in afghanistan. We just signed rights to all Kurdish oil. Texas owns iraqi oil now.
It makes sense, doesnt it? We're about to start a 3rd war. It'll be just like the other 2, won't it? Sustained chaos, install a govt made of friendlies, then the nations sign over oil exploration rights to the US.
We ARE winning, you silly rabbits :) We have oil from 2/3 of the nations on our target sheet. Iran is next.

Four and a half years into a war, ...and still no one can decisively say what the original objective was?!?
That is so seriously messed up. {lol}
