Title: President Bush Doesn't Understand Another Topic
Post by: Decker on September 24, 2007, 08:55:53 AM
Remember in the 2000 presidential debates when George W. Bush did not know that Social Security was a federal program?

Well that was a knee-slapper and you all know that he just "misspoke", right?

Here's another demonstration of this small man's pretension to act like a leader:

"And so -- but you got to be for something in Washington. You can't be against federalization, you've got to be for a plan that enhances the relationship between doctor and patient, and that's what I'm for."

What is this in reference to?  A bi-partisan piece of legislation that would extend medical insurance coverage to families earning up to $60,000 for a family of four.

How's that again?  Insuring uninsured children.

And Bush wants to veto that?  Yes.

Why?

So he can push for a private insurance plan that "enhances the relationship between doctor and patient..."

Would someone explain to the leader of the free world that uninsured people do not have doctors?
