Couldn't agree more. Both were nearly flawless all the way down to conditioning, posing and presentation.

he is gay
so is Chris Dickerson, who did win the Olympia. And there are a few other top level bodybuilders who are gay who haven't won the Olympia.
my choice for best bodybuilder to have never won the Olympia is Mike Mentzer
-
What an original thread. This question has never been asked here before. ::)

What an original thread topic! 'Bout time someone came up with somethingn new!
::)
Kevin levrone. Next question.
-
I have to agree, bout time someone started an original topic................... ..........
but would have to say either Levrone or Gaspari, but do agree with Labrada
-
nasser should have won it in 97. Hell every olympia after 93 dorian should have lost, and even 93 is debateable.

Best guy to have never won is Flex, with Shawn Ray in second. Flex's reasons are the result of his laziness Shawn's are the results of suck ass judging.

that doesnt make him one of the best bb's to never win the olympia.
it makes him a bb that shouldve won in one year but didnt.
so he's amonsgt flex wheeler et al.
Lee Labrada is the only BB who came in year in year out and placed runner up or third to the mr.o and on at least 2 occassions shouldve got the nod- if not 3.
Shawn Ray- as good as he was, placed 3rd/4th year in year out so IMO doesnt meet the criteria.
Rich Gaspari- although meeting the runner up criteria cant be considered as he deserved all of his runner up placings. Haney beat him fair and square every year.
Not so for Labrada.
Levrone probably has a case also. Both Labrada and Levrone regularly beat Ray.
For some reason people look at Ray and forget that he was usually out of the top 3 due to levrone, labrada and later cormier, nasser, flex etc..
so my vote goes to Levrone and Labrada as they meet all the criteria....i.e. runner ups or top threes throughout careers and at least 1 occasion where they couldve been crowned.
Mentzer doesnt meet that as he didnt rack up enough shows to prove it- same for flex.
an ray's average placings werent high enough.

Levroe placed second 4 times: twice in Dorians' era and twice in ronnies, but more importantly placing second in 92 and 02. That is an 11 Olympia spread for runner up spot. He also placed second in his first Olympia try. This is the as close as you can come without taking the title. So I think its clear who the best bodybuilder to never have won the Olympia.

2002 was a gift, Kevin was owned by Cormier.

Levrone was actually what a Mr. O should look like. Big and full, with a small waist. Flex was the what a Arnold Classic winner should look like:aesthestically pleasing to the masses.

I agree 100% with those. And they all competed in the same timeframe against each other!

1. Shawn Ray
2. Lee labrard
3. Kevin Levorne
4. Flex wheeler

for me it`s Flex Wheeler, Kevin Levrone. In the 70`s maybe ět`s Serge Nubret.

not even close, calf implants.
-

not even close. nasser had no back and that is worse than having half a biceps. yates condition at that show was too much for nasser. shawn should have been 2nd in 97.
-
Shawn!
-
shawn and padella were amazing bodybuilders...probably the best of the best
but lets face it...they're too short, you will NEVER see a champion bodybuilder <5'8 again unless they bring back a short class.
with that being said...Levrone and Cromier are probably the best two never to win it.
