Love handles are tough...it depends how lean you want to get really. If you plan on competing then yes they have to go, if its just for the beach...you could sacrifice a lot of muscle getting that lean for no apparent reason

Hi, I'm a 20 year old guy and I've been seriosuly working out and eating right for a little over a year now and I'm coming along amazing, gained 35lbs with 8 % bf. My only problem is that I have miniscule love handles, I notice. Abs are there, but lower could pop out more - so my question is, should I bother with more cardio and a fat burner, I really don't want to lose any muscle so I'm weary of overdoing it with cardio. WHAT THE HELL DO I DO TO ELIMINATE THAT LAST LITTLE BIT OF LOWER BACK LOVE HANDLE FAT!?!?
if its fat...its genetic and all you can is too lose more fat and hope they go away. and if your already have a low% it can be tough.
sometimes when you add more muscle it will somewhat eliminate the love handles (no im not saying work your obliques as no bodybuilder should do direct obliques training)

Agree with the first part, some people really have to get a low bf% to get rid of that last bit. Pictures would help.

if you're 8% with love handles you're probably "genetically fucked"

i once read somewhere that if yoy try to work that section of your body and you already have obvious love handles, it won't get id of them, but only make them bigger. i don't know if that's true, but i would just keep doing what u r doing, and just watch what u eat. at 20 years old, your testosterone and metabolism are in super overdrive, so you shouldn't find it too difficult to lose some of the love handles you got! i agree with the hanging led raises! ;)
