Bodybuilding is a lifestyle choice.  With choices comes consequences.  That being said, it is all relative to the condition of that choice.

As much as the mainstream-media and general-public are revolted by the site of the Mass Monster, they are, in turn, fascinated by these hideous-beasts.

The Mass Monster does have a place in society. As revolting as they are, they are still human beings and deserve some level of respect.

Being able to post on message boards about the good 'ol days.

"possibly" being comped to attend expos, and have a "garage sale" of  BB memoriablia your spouse thinks is junk and wants to put in the trash.

Having internet trolls extol how great you were against your opponent of "the day".(ND and Hulkster)

Thanking the heavens that you only need one healthy kidney to live or having a sibling that is a match and will donate one so you can continue to compete, pose, attend expos looking "muscular".

As you get older and/or After the drugs wear off, muscles shrink, you find women who actually believe "size doesn't matter".(last call)

Duping fans into buying gym memberships even though the gym is being barred and shut down within the hour.

Explaining to family and friends that posing in oil and thongs is not "gay" for men or being a "stripper" for women.(nothing wrong with either)

I love all of this stuff.  I am, after all a fan of Bodybuilding.  The blindfold is off.  It is what it is.

Ok, enough.

Adrenal Gland failure

In mammals, the adrenal glands (also known as suprarenal glands) are the triangle-shaped endocrine glands that sit on top of the kidneys; their name indicates that position (ad-, "near" or "at" + -renes, "kidneys"). They are chiefly responsible for regulating the stress response through the synthesis of corticosteroids and catecholamines, including cortisol and adrenaline.

Hey as long as you don't get too carried away and make sure that you give your body a regular break from them, there is a lot worse things you could do to your body.

The major contribution of bodybuilders is that we don't waste mirrors! Proof of this is the lack of vandalism in elevators that have mirrors installed!
