Watching the Biggest Loser and one of the mooses downed 2 gallons of water before the weigh-in. Does a gallon of water really add 9lbs?????

Hahaha i remember in one series here (Aus), some guy water loaded before the weigh in and gained like a heap of weight, then next week lost like 20lbs.
We still hold the record for the fattest guy, i think he was like 475lbs. Lost like 180lbs though.

no dumbass, thats only if your electrolytes are out of balance. also when you're 300+ pounds 2 gallons of water is a lot less in proportion to say, your 130lb frame

With plenty of carbs and tons of sodium to go with the water you can add a substantial amount of weight for a short period of time.
