WTF ??!!
-
I'd say arnold today depending on which state show would have a VERY hard time getting into the national level.

WTF ??!!
Judging by their avatar, it must be a 'cowboy thang' we wouldn't understand. :D
-
With all the different "resources" available to todays bodybuilders, arnold would own all of them. With that particular physique pictured, he wouldnt get anywhere.

well he is 60 years old...
I don't think too many people would disagree with you there.
As with the physique that won him all those Olympia titles, you can bet on him adding more sandows to his collection.

Arnold doesn't even compete anymore and still owns them. ;D
And as with the particular pic I posted of him, in that shape, I think it'll only get him as far as a local city NPC winner...maybe.

haha you're a funny guy Pollux! With the size Arnold has in that pic and maybe 5% less fat = mr. Olympia again! Boom!

Absolutely! It's safe to say that from 1976 through '79 Arnold would've added more Olympia titles for himself.

I can see Arnold holding the title from 1970-present with a little weider influence. ;)

You're not insinuating that was the only reason Arnold won those Olympia titles, is it? Then again, we all know the '72 Olympia was a 'Weider influence'. ;D

haha I can see Arnold winning every single Olympia that Sergio Oliva does not enter. Hope that answers it. ;D

ARnold was quit off season in that image..
-
There was no beating this back then and there's no beating this now. He really never even peaked another 5 years and they would have had to pay Arnold to sit home. Ya know so other competitors would even show up.

Are you kidding me ? Even by todays standards his upper body was phenomenal, yes his legs wouldn't hold up to the pro level these days, but the amount and kinds of drugs he used back then was nothing to compaired to what is available now. Not to mention bodybuilders know a lot more about ,supplementation, nutrition and training then back then. He obviously wasn't in contest condition in that picture ,but I don't think he would have a problem qualifying for the national level. If he was competing today with everthing bodybuilders have available to them he would still be competitive.
-
Arnold is far greater than any other bodybuilder ever.

OK. We agree there. ;D

I'm pretty sure this pic is well past his competition days.
Now in preparation for which of the following do you think he did the largest doses?
67 NABBA Universe
75 IFBB Olympia
80 IFBB Olympia
82 Conan the Barbarian
84 Terminator
91 Terminator 2
-
Absolutely!
Betty's rack could more than hold their own in a national level NPC Figure show.
What's more troubling is why all of you guys immediately looked at the guy and not the girl. Time to surrender your man cards.

That pic was taken with George Butler in preparation for the '80 Olympia. Well, in essence, I guess that was past his 'competition days'. ;D
Anyway, as for your question. I'm gonna go with the '67 NABBA Universe simply because he was 21 at that show and I'm sure at that tender age his body sucked up those 'dosage' like a sponge.

Hey hang on a sec, Arnold is in the pic if you look to the front ;D!!!!

My guess is he did much more for his movie roles.

More so than he competitive days where his reputation and body were at stake?
-
if he had the supplements of today. he would destroy the pros of today
-

Actually, it doesn't matter. He destroys them regardless. ;D

reputation as a bodybuilder versus reputation and millions of dollars as an action star.

Of course more is ridden on the millions than a 'title'. His physique just doesn't seem to speak the same volume when you're comparing his 'look' in movies as opposed to him onstage.

I don't know. I think he was bigger and harder in the mid to late 80s than he was in the early 70s.

You really think that, Tim? ???

Question is: Would anyone in off season condition pass through NPC ranks? ::)
Look how fat these f*cks get today...come on man...

OK. I'll buy that. How about if Arnold showed up to an NPC even looking like this...
The day of his '67 NABBA Universe win
