Interview with Fabricio Werdum


What is the date of your next fight?

-I spoke to my manager and he said it would be november or december. It is highly probable that it will be december, because november is too close.

Do you know who it will be?

-First it would be Tim Sylvia, but its off. Now I heard it will be Frank Mir. But the way I've been training it can be anyone. In the past, MMA was technique, but today its 70% cardio, and thats why I am training hard.

Another bad match up for Mir, Werdum would smoke him on the ground, and is pretty hard to put away standing.

I agree, Mir has garbage conditioning at best.  He just needs to go away!

the thing is he had such potential. if he wouldn't have broke his leg he would probably be champion right now.,

you don't think so. man i thought he was really good. he was so quick and explosive. not like the heavyweights now. he was so talented on the ground also. he nearly broke sylvias arm off and handed it to him and do you rememember him beating tank in like 40secs.

Im not saying he isnt good, I just dont think he would be the Champ.  No way in hell he could hang with Randy.  The dude has NEVER had conditioning, even befor ehe got into his accident.

Werdum is to fight Gonzaga from what I understand, not Mir.
