Title: Lion hugs and kisses woman who saved him
Post by: Butterbean on November 06, 2007, 06:48:45 PM: A WOMAN IN COLUMBIA FOUND A LION CUB, WHO WAS WOUNDED AND HUNGRY. SHE TOOK HIM HOME AND RAISED HIM TILL HE WAS TOO BIG TO KEEP AT HOME. SHE THEN BROUGHT HIM TO THE LOCAL ZOO, BUT SHE VISITS HIM EVERY DAY.

That story sounds fishy. African Lions aren't native to Columbia (I'm assuming Columbia South America. Correct m if I'm wrong). That said, I had a client in Ohio who had one she kept in her back yard with her two tigers and her leopard. So who knows.....

Yeah, I kind of think the same thing. The other thing to consider is thats a position of dominance for big cats----basically a mounting type behavior.

I don't know, maybe I'm just in a dickhead mood today, but I've gotten to the point where I doubt most of the "Feel good" animal stories I see anymore. There is always more to the story than what the media says either that or the reporter has warped things so much, its a work of fiction anyway.
