HAHAHAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! dude you are literally the biggest fuccking clown on this board, you seriously need to post a picture, you must be an absolute MOUNTAIN of ripped up muscle to try and "show" Paul Dillett a "few things". ::)
-
Here's some shots I just recently capped off an
old VCR tape from 1993. He was amazing then!
I remember thinking; "this is the first guy that reminds
me of Arnold in the DB pose." Long arms, great taper
and the size in the arms to be comparable.
-
Well after I turned Achims career around Paul wanted some help.

just what direction was that exactly??

Yeah, I remember that definitive moment when he went from also-ran to dominating force on the IFBB circuit. ::)

;D

;D
lol, is that real or shopped?
-
in 1995 he took 3rd in the Niagra pro and he took 3rd in the Houston beating Ronnie Coleman that year. Highest placing ever for him. I would say thats turning it around.
-
Not trying to be a butt head but he won
the 1994 German Pro Grand Prix beating Coleman, Taylor
and Nasser.

nope your thinking of the Houston Nasser won, tayler second then Achim
-
Click the link bro. It was held the week after he
cramped up at the 1994 AC. He won that show.
-
I was asked how I turned Achims career around in an earlier post..wasnt talking about Dillet..I was asked by Robin Chang who was Paul Dilletts manager at the time to help Paul with his posing, and squad didnt believe me. I worked with paul for a bit.
-
My bad.. Very impressive results with Achim?
considering the level of competition in the 90's.

I think the whole diuretic incident gave Paul second thoughts about competing. Can you blame him? Shame, too, because the guy had some of the best genteics in the game.
-
I worked with paul for a bit.
Um, are you taking credit for the posing? :-\
-
LOL like I said I tried......
-
Thought this thread was gonna be about Bruce Patterson.. ::)
-
had the taper and somewhat size. hardly ever nailed his conditioning when it mattered. high lats and back dwarded by delts (ala sergio oliva) sure didnt help against the guys with good backs. very flat chest too and looked somewhat disproportionate in the relaxed shot
-
The biggest problem was his back double bi..he couldnt get how to spread the scapula....so he never had a v taper in the pose.
-
He had some weak areas, but I think with the proper training he could have corrected them
His posing also left a lot to be desired. It looks like he can't hold a pose more than half a second.
There is nothing he could have done for his back. The fibers and bellies just weren't there. It wasn't due to poor training, not to say his training was great, but the back would have developed to the same degree as the rest of the body had he had the genetics.
And posing cannot be taught! From what I read he hired multiple choreographers and posing instructors. But it's not something that you can teach or be taught. Either you know how to pose or not. There is not even one single example of a pro who changed his posing style during his career.
-
Absolutely, without doubt, genetically, Paul Dillett could have been the greatest bodybuilder of all time. No question.

All true, but geez how much of a SPAZ do you have to be that you can't hold a fricken pose?
My 8 year old daughter can pose better than him :P
-
glass did train him for a while, and to those who say he could have been the best ever?...with those back genetics...never in a million years
-
i believe posing can be taught like anything else. it's like learning the right groove for an exercise. all he had to do was follow instructions.
just like anything else, unless u master it, it will look off.
-
lol, is that real or shopped?
The photo is real, Paul had some shots taken prior to his recent comeback, this is a before photo, he hadn't trained in a while.
-
Dillet had some sick vacularity across his chest!

-
his biggest problem was a lack of hardness and detail throughout his upper body, with his back being atrociously smooth and unbelievably undedeveoped in the some of the back musculature.
he eschewed heavy hard training and it showed.
massive beyond belief though.
-
what a crock who cares what he 'could' have been fact is he wasn't. As has been stated already chances are his back still would have been a weak point, Flex was better anyway.
-
dillett with a back like ronnie's (which i believe would be near-possible) would have won contests at average conditioning, as bbing contests are often won and lost on the back. dillett would have been almost unstoppable with a better back, better conditioning, better posing and better proportions. geez, i guess that sums most bbers up! dillet just had better genetics than most bbers tho, to make it a reality.
