Title: Monica Brant - OUT of the Figure International
Post by: cray2005 on January 23, 2008, 06:36:43 AM: Well, I do my usual checking around in forums, and siouxcountry pointed out elsewhere that Monica Brant's name is no longer on the Arnold list. I went to the Arnold Classic website to see for myself (I don't doubt his word for a second, I just like to see things for myself), and sure enough, her name is no longer there.

If she is in fact out of the Arnold, she will definitely be missed. With that in mind, I have just these simple words of advice for the newbies: you want to be a star? You want to make history? It looks like this year's Arnold is your chance to shine. DON'T BLOW IT!!!

Terry and Elaine Goodlad recently interviewed Monica on their Bodysport radio show. They asked Mo about her decision to compete after everyone thought she was going to retire from the competitive stage. At the time, Monica hadn’t decided whether she would compete in the Arnold and mentioned it was because of her BSN contract. You could hear the confusion and a bit of frustration in her voice during the interview. Most companies want their sponsored athletes to compete more but in Monica’s case it appears the opposite.

They have already got that ball in motion. There is a master's figure at the Atlantic City Pro this year.

I love it when the fans' ideas are brought to fruition.

Next question: Yes or No to height classes in figure at the pro level?

You're kidding? :o She is like the Michael Jordan (that just happens to have never won a show due to some unknown reasons) of figure. Also, that spread by Per Bernal in MD was awesome and she looks beautiful as always but I miss the blonde hair.
