White talks about Kimbo

Internet sensation Kimbo Slice currently competes in rival organization EliteXC. Slice was made famous through street fights televised on Youtube.com.

White does not think that Slice is ready for the UFC.

“Sean Gannon beat him in a street fight. Everyone saw happened to Sean Gannon when he fought a guy that no one ever heard of (a decisive TKO loss to Branden Lee Hinkle in the UFC),” said White, “Gannon was in the hospital for three weeks.”

“That’s what would happen to Kimbo Slice if he fought in the UFC. He would get hurt bad – real bad,” White said.

Maybe if they let him fight in the lightweight division & let him bring his "posse" along to jump in anytime someone tries to take him to the ground... ::)

kimbo vs lesnar!!!!!

Lesner would take kimbo to the ground and beat the fuck out of him.  Kimbo wouldnt be able to put lesnar in a submission like Mir did.

Are you gay?  Seriously, the chance of someone getting KTFO is much higher, and that is what people want to see. Not a "what if" situation, like with Brock and Mir, "what if" Brock didn't step into that knee bar? Well if someone was unconscious, there is no question who wins. :)

45...oh brother.  Anytime you want to get in the cage with me "chaos", let me know.

How is Kimbo or Brock an unskilled fighter?

Well let's see.  between the two of them, they have about a total of 5 formal MMA fights.  Kimbo's training consists of beating up street thugs while his posse watches his back.  Lesnar's training consists of college wrestling and the WWE.  Are you going to tell me these guys are skilled MMA fighters?

And yes.  I will gladly prove my point with anyone...IN THE CAGE!

dana is basically calling out kimbo because he knows he is a huge draw. he wouldn't even talk about him if he wasn't.

mma is just like boxing. it's all about the money.

fighter with fan base = promoters dream

fighter with great skills but no fan base < fighter with fan base but few skills.

kimbo should stay exactly where he is and keep doing what he's doing what he's doing. his last fight was with a guy that had 2 weeks to prepare. that's a typical bas trick and it's spineless. there are a shit load of heavy weights out there that would love to get a pay day against kimbo but bas plays his usual trick, which is exactly how bas won many of his fights.

tim was always going to get submitted by nog. it was only a matter of time before nog caught up with him.

different story with kimbo. kimbo has nothing on the ground that would cause tim problems and standing up he's going to be eating tim's left hand all night.

mismatch. if kimbo goes the distance it's a boring shut out w for tim. if i saw these guys slated i'd wonder wtf bas was smoking. the box office is all kimbo and he's only got a puncher's chance.

While for the most part I would agree with you, I think at some point Kimbo would bum rush Tim and ground and pound his ass after a brutal takedown, he's (from what I've seen) pretty driven and ferocious, would love to see that match up.

Who says Kimbo isn't doing the same thing? Maybe he's tired of Bas and his annoying accent and can't take the pressure of being a celebrity these days... maybe he hits the bars hard with his homies right before the fight!

With Kimbo and Tank both being intoxicated - my bet is on Tank, he's got way more experience as a drunk!

he could definitely bum rush tim and he has the chin to eat a few coming in, but then what?

tim is no expert on the ground but he's got enough tools to nullify anything kimbo brings to the ground, if not submit kimbo or even gnp him. don't underestimate tim's ground skills or overestimate kimbo's.

i've only seen kimbo on the ground once (i'm not even going near the gannon fight) and he was atrocious. if mercer knew how or had the strength (compared to kimbo he was completely outmuscled) to hold a cruicifix he would have owned kimbo.

tim has the size, strength, skills and experience to incur no problem at all with kimbo on the ground. at the very least he stalemates and the ref stands them up again, kimbo goes back to eating tim's broom stick.

There is a difference between a qualified "opinion" and a "statement" like you made.  If you said "I don't think guys like this with no experience belong in the UFC" or something like that, that would be an opinion which is fine from anyone.  But you said "I don't understand the interest in seeing these inexperienced unskilled brutes fight" which is a statement.  Your statements are construed in a manner that gives the illusion you are an experienced fighter and know exactly what these guys go through and what it takes.  But in reality you are just like the majority of us and just like to watch the fighting.  But, you add that little extra by telling us certain people do not belong.  As much as I don't like Kimbo he is actually exactly what the UFC was originally based on and that was fighting with minimal rules, an all out brawl.  Lesnar has competed in college and probably high school (did yo at least do that) and then performed with the WWE which takes a lot more skill than you obviously know.

Last night I got together with some friends for poker & drinking.  For some reason or another I started a "discussion" with one of the guys which evolved into a heated argument, which evolved into a wrestling match.  I'm not sure how it happened, but it ended with me putting him to sleep from a RNCH....lol.

First time I've ever held someone long enough for them to go out...kinda weird/scary becasue you're so pumped up that you don't really feel the person go limp.  If it wasn't for the rest of the guys pulling him off, I would have held him way longer.  BTW, he never tapped.
On the first page of this thread he also challenges me to a cage fight.

That's the only reason I would support bringing in some inexperienced street thug.  To watch him get brutally mutilated.

Are you people serious ::)  In the five years that I've been on these boards, there has NEVER been a single fight challenge that came to fruition...not one.  If you want to make GetBig history, "chaos", I'm willing to step IN TEH CAGE!!!

I guess we now know why a "single fight challenge" has never "come to fruition...not one."

Because just like someone in this thread, somebody always pusses out....... ;D

what is it about bbers?

they call out anonymous guys on the internet, puffing out their chests and suddenly imagining they have suddenly turned into fighters, and then when the call gets answered, they suddenly want to know the full name, date of birth, address, credit card no and how many fights said person has had.

i went down this road with milos and he went from calling me out from something that squad said and then he proceeds to want to know my full name, address, experience and a shit load of other details about me as a pre-condition on fighting me.

how about, for once, one of you walk your talk and take the fight with the conditions you already set when YOU called the guy out. that being that you know NOTHING about the guy and you fight him anyway and anywhere he likes.

the only time an opponent tells you how/what exerience/his method/skills re fighting is if he 1. doesn't know how to fight or 2. is trying to get out of the fight.

2) Call him out on his blatant lies about training. - Check
3) Reduce said victim to a shell of his former self, leaving him to stew and follow you around the board. - Check

You're pretty much Bluto 2.0.

Claims of cage fighting for years with no way to back them up. Started watching MMA at exactly UFC 1 yet knows absolutely nothing about the sport.

Then the best one, you've been snowboarding longer than the sport's pretty much been around. Totally rad!

It's all good though. You're suffering a mid life crisis. I'm 21, so I completely sympathize with you. Must suck taking 20 minutes to get out of bed in the morning. Ha ha ha!

Those are my Bullshit claims ???  Oh brother  ::)

First, I've never claimed to be a cage fighter.  If you find a post where such claim is made, I'll be legitimately owned.  I did start watching MMA from UFC 1...big deal.  Just because I'm not a Pride guy, doesn't mean I'm clueless.

As for Snowboarding, I don't even know how you know that I snow board. Kinda creepy.  FYI, I grew up in Huntington Beach surfing, skating and yes, snow boarding in Big Bear.  Guess what, my 6yr old also snow boards.  What's the big deal ???

As I said before, at 21 I accomplished more than you will you're whole life.  I made something out of nothing.  Today I get to do whatever I want.  When you're 35 you'll be right where you are today...ha ha.  Don't hate me for it. :D

Talk, talk, talk. What did you accomplish by 21? You found a way to smuggle yourself in to America? Congratulations!

You were bragging about snowboarding for 30 years. Which, ironically, would mean you've been doing it longer than companies like Burton have been around. You're such a trendsetting superstar you are!!!!

Let's not forget your MMA knowledge is on par with Bluto's for most lackluster on this forum. Why did you cry to Ron to get your moderator position back after you got shit canned? I'll bet you sucked a mean dick for that one!

Whatever pays right, I guess being brainwashed your whole life does that to you, no passion for anything... just trying to fix that hole in your life, thinking a good yearly salary will do it or making mom and daddy proud...

When you're in your 30's you still be working on finishing that shitty boring education... and when you're finally done with that half your life will be over and with whats remaining you can look forward to a life of 60 hour working weeks replacing old ladies hips...

I'm fascinated by medicine. Oh, and I'll be done with my residency by 30 and ortho surgeons never work 60 hour weeks. Sorry Bluto, you are not going to insult me. Your life is the most pathetic existence I've ever seen. Even the biggest nerds get off their computer long enough to do something productive. You supposedly live in a country with an average salary of $14k a year and you spend every waking moment of your day on this forum. Your existence is meaningless.

I take solace in the fact that I'll be doing something incredibly enjoyable while making 100-200x more than you. You couldn't make yourself look any more jealous of the fact that my intelligence and future blows yours out of the water.

But hey, you keep bragging about having 25000 posts on a forum and making up lies about the life you wish you lead. Makes you look real good, kid. I didn't even bother reading your posts, though. I can smell the jealousy from here. It's embarrassing to say the least.

No you're fascinated with making money... because you think you can BUY a life... you telling me you gonna look forward to every day going to work fixing some old ladies hips or a knee cap on a sweaty obese 400 pound man? Is that what you call "doing something incredibly enjoyable"  ::) I sure hope so, because a typical work week for an orthopedic surgeon is 50-55 hours!  :D

You sure you'll be done by 30? For the really big bucks you might wanna do fellowships after that 10 year residency... that's another couple of years...
It's a damn shame it takes so long... the actual work sounds so exciting, I bet you can't wait to start!

You should have taken your parents advice.  Assuming you actually get through med school, being an orthopedic surgeon is a shitty JOB.

You  obviously haven't got a clue about what I do.  I'll put it to you this way.  Last year I worked an average of 25hrs./week.  I took off all of December and went on a total of 5 vacations. I probably paid more in taxes than you'll make in a year.  Just curious, how much money do you think I make annually?

a day in the life of an orthopedic surgeon...
After working in an orthopedic surgeon’s office this past summer, I have cemented a better idea of a typical day in the medical profession. The day begins early, probably waking up around five in the morning and heading off to one of the many hospitals where he operates. He spends about an hour “rounding” on patients, meaning he checks on the ones that recently had surgery or the ones with surgery to come. Then, he is on to actual surgery. He might have three surgeries in the morning, one replacing an elderly woman’s hip, another setting a young boy’s broken fibula, and another repairing a mother’s patella. Usually he trains an intern or resident throughout the day, they assist in operations or perform them under the surgeon’s watchful eye. He is off for a quick lunch and then to the office where he will see around thirty patients, all with different pains and ailments. Some are returnees, some are children, some want a second opinion, and others simply have no idea what is wrong with them. Most patients have some type of insurance to pay for the visit, but he even sees the ones he knows cannot afford it. Around six o’ clock he attends a dinner meeting, where orthopedists gather and discuss new medical breakthroughs and different surgery techniques. Overall it is a typical, busy day. He heads home to rest and try to finish dictating a few charts.

Imagine going to work everyday and having to deal with this shit. :D

Do you really think that searching google for 5 minutes is going to show you actually know what you're talking about? I know everything about it Mindspin. The average salary for an ortho spine surgeon is still over $450k/year. They're crying about not making millions for doing shitty work.

But it's cool, you "talk to MDs" and know what's going on. Are you really in the mood to embarrass yourself? You having to side with Bluto (someone who you know is working a $5/hour job) to try to get at me is hilarious.

Face it guy. Whichever path I go with I'll be more successful than you. I will bet my life on that.

I think whatever I say you make you're going to inflate by 100-200k. You don't make a lot. Anyone making as much as I think you're implying wouldn't be spending their days threatening people on a forum. Just though I'd let you know.

If you're entering the medical field for money only, you'll never get out of med school. That's common knowledge.

Bluto might be the poorest poster on Getbig. And his life consists of this forum. He's so ashamed of it he can't come to grips with it. Bluto, how do you feel knowing even the poorest Americans make more than you?

I know ortho surgeons that absolutely love their jobs. Every field has people that love and hate what they do. Great blog though. You really showed me!  ::)

Meltdown!

BTW, $450k is less than I made last year.

You're telling us you will drop out?

How you gonna break the news to mom and daddy, it will break their hearts!  :D

People that make those claims on the internet don't make that much. But if you did, congratulations. I'm happy for you. You're one of the few on Getbig that has actually accomplished something.

By the way, I'm doing finance for a reason. I like that stuff and I like medicine. My major is finance and I do pre-med on my own. They're my electives. I'm also going to work for a year after I graduate before I even think of going to med school. Who knows, I might stick with whatever I end up doing.

The fact of the matter is that I'll be very successful either way I go. I haven't decided yet and I'm more than smart enough to do both without a problem. I can bet on my life that by the time I'm 30 I'll make more than Bluto has in the last 15 years. I've ALWAYS had top grades and whatever I do I excel at. I'll be fine.

What exactly do you do Mindspin? I'm intrigued. And I'm not trying to stir shit up asking. You can tell me in a pm or don't.

Are you content making $5/hour but being able to spend your entire life posting on a forum? I know Yemeni is somewhat successful. What about you? Your claim to fame is that you've lied about cage fighting. Impressive.

My parents have given me the green light to do whatever I want. If I wanted to drop out and join the army, they wouldn't care.

Yemeni, you got an internship for me?!??!?!?!  :P

What backpedaling? Bluto, this has been documented years ago on this forum.

Look kid. Your life is absolutely meaningless to me. You make no money, you have no friends, you spend your days on a forum trying to attack people like me, who have it 100x better than you.

I could work construction for 40 hours a week and make more money than you.

Stop focusing on me. Answer my questions. Are you proud of the fact that your biggest accomplishment in life is 30,000 posts on a forum? I do like that this thread has devolved into another one about lil ol' me.

But that's good. I've spent the last 3 1/2 years as a Finance major just so I can backpedal on a forum about it. Epic telepathy on my part in 2004! Kid is so desperate to get at me he'll embarrass himself even. I run your life Bluto.

I made over half a mill last year.  I'll probably come close doubling that this year.  I own a consulting business.  In a nutshell, I take small brands with potential and make them into medium brands.  Then I help sell them to big companies.  It's a simple business model that generates decent revenues and has virtually no overhead (I get killed on taxes).  And it's FUN.  I pick who I want to work with.  In fact, I recently decided to get involved with a UFC related initiative simply because I like MMA.  Alright, I'm done bragging.

Actually, that's some interesting stuff. So you basically overhaul these brands into what they're capable of being and reap the rewards of it? Nice little haul too.

I'll take an internship offer for next summer too.  >:(

You may think you're doing alright... but remember what BerzerkFury told you:

"When I'm 35 I'll probably be an orthopedic surgeon making more money than you working less hours. Ouch!"

Too poor to afford to go out so you decided to spend another Friday night talking about me Bluto? It's almost what? 2 am CET? And you're still jockeying for access to my penis.

What a sad existence you lead. I can't really feel insulted by an impoverished European that spends every Friday and Saturday night melting on a forum.

Are you proud of the fact that you're probably the poorest poster on Getbig?  ???
