Title: Who is the most RESPECTED bodybuilder?
Post by: JasonH on February 04, 2008, 01:12:25 PM: Who is the bodybuilder you hold the most regard for as an athlete and a person? What does a bodybuilder have to do to get the respect from the internet masses?

We have Jay Cutler as the current Mr O but is he the most respected? What about all those fridge jokes poking fun at him?

What about Nasser? - a popular guy on here with a lot of followers, but he sells his old workout clothes to make some spare money.

Frank McGrath?
Yates?
Ronnie?
Levrone?

Discuss.

And don't say Arnold. (He is no longer classed as a bodybuilder for the purpose of this thread.)

Post by: aussiepro on February 04, 2008, 03:14:08 PM: just speaking from my personal experience, i would say Jay Cutler for sure, when i met him after the O last yeah he was extreamely nice and down to earth, it was as if none of the fame went to his head... he also new what he was talking about in terms of training.. and no matter how many drugs he uses it takes some real dedication to get to his size....

I put McGrath's name in there because although not a top tier pro, his pictures in the Animal Pak adverts have received a lot of positive comments from guys on this board, saying all of the bodybuilders out there they would want to look like him. He doesn't really get flamed so it's up for consideration in my book.

Because people have taken all the meaning out of the word "Respec"... it started with the stupid blacks saying "RESPECT BRO" it
didn't mean "respect" at all but a general understanding, that you both understood each other.

No one attacks his character only his look, IMO I think he looks nothing like what a Mr. O should look like but I won't hesitate to say he is probably the hardest working, most dedicated, fan friendly BBer of the past 8+ years.
