Meh, they have to make four west coast trips and they dont get there bye late in the season when guys are injured. That is a pretty travel heavy scheule for an east coast team. As always pre season schedules mean jack, this is the NFL teams will improve and regress. Everyone thought the colts would have an easy schedule last year, turns out they has one of the toughest. The afc east will be much better this year. The jets had a big offseason, and the bills were a good team last year with all the injuries, they will be far better.

I dont understand why they make schedules years in advance anyway. They should be totally based on record.

AFC North versus the NFC East this year.

I like it!

I do agree that the schedules should be based on record from the previous year. Just like the draft order.

But every year, teams come out of nowhere after sucking the previous year. So I don't put too much emphasis on perceived 'easy' versus 'hard' schedules. Every week is a challenge for every NFL team. The talent is getting so leveled out year after year. No cupcakes in today's NFL.

My Cowboys have a pretty tough one.

But the kiss of death is doing HBO's Hard Knocks. That show is a curse to teams.

The Texans had a RASH of injuries last year, and they did well in (by far) the toughest conference in football. The texans are a good football team, and taking Williams over Bush was the best descision they could have ever made.

However, the jags d is going to be sick next year, they got both Groves and Harvey.

Very true about the Texans. They have earned the right to shed the 'expansion team' moniker. Matt Schuab is the real deal and Andre Johnson is a monster. They just need a running back and they'll be solid on offense. The defense is becoming very good. That one linebacker they have is a beast. Can't remember his name but he's a playmaker. Dimicko or something? Help me out on that one, tonymctones.

Teams can't look on their schedule anymore and look at the Texans as an automatic win. Those days are looooooong gone.

Teams can't look on their schedule anymore and look at the Texans as an automatic win. Those days are looooooong gone.
demarco ryans ya he is a beast, i think either last yr or the yr before that he was voted defense player of the year

It's a shame the Jags play in the AFC south. The colts are always good and the jags are going to be very good ( my 08 non pat's binky). The texans will challenge both teams for the division, but I think they might fall short to those jags for the wild card. I'm telling you, with the addition of both Groves and Harvey, the jags d is going to be rushing the passer like you read about.

The only way to beat guys like Manning and Brady is pressure. I think the Jags win the division, the colts take the wild card and the Texans have a very good year and fall a bit short ( due to how tough the division is).

ya, it sucks being in such a tough division I think this year will be the first year that we actually have a decent chance at the playoffs though.

Don't get me wrong, I think the Texans have a great shot to make the playoffs. I just think that the Jags and the Colts are going to be very very good this year.

If the Texans were not in the division that they are in, they would def make the playoffs.

the browns were 10 - 6 last year, the same record as the super bowl winning giants and they missed the playoffs

the steelers have won a super bowl and have been to the playoffs numerous times throughout this decade so yes they are traditionally a powerhouse, i don't know how else you can define a team as a "powerhouse",only the patriots and colts have won more games then the mighty back and gold

your texas have yet to finish better than .500, need i say more?:-*

ok I seriously owned you in the last post and I was expecting you to take it like a man and just bow your head and be on your way but like your team you take beatings and come back for more

you only think what you want to think, you want to think that your bottom feeding texans would do better if they played in another division but you have no proof whatsoever of that, they are just a blip on the nfl radar, completely irrelevant and if you keep up the outrageous and delusional trash talk i will run you off this board like i ran off "old school flip" and "ozmo" who both had the audacity to think that the 49ers and alex smith would be better than the steelers hahaha ;D

like i said we have won a super bowl, won numerous divisons, playoff games, and finished 15 -1 which was the best record the afc ever had until last year and have a greater winning percentage than all but 2 teams

those are facts, nothing you said was a fact, just delusional and wishful thinking :-*

the point is 10 win teams make the playoffs 90% of the time, how many times do i have to point out that they had the same record as the super bowl winning giants who play in a weaker nfc conference? ::)

after 6 years your team still hasn't gotten anywhere near the playoffs, the jaguars and panthers made the conference title game in their 2nd year of existence and the expansion browns made the playoffs after 4 years so quit using the "we've only been around for a few years" excuse and blaming it on your conference, the jaguars and titans have missed the playoffs more often than not over the last few years
