I always have to turn the station, those cats and dogs staring into the camera just kills me everytime...
i was thinking about making the donation, it takes around $18 out of your account every month, you get a tote bag and shirt i think but its worth it right?  and i love that song by SM..

i'm a big sissy when that commercial comes on too.  Pedigree also has a couple others that really affect me.  Like the one that has the dogs looking through the bars and the narrator is saying things the dogs might be thinking.

Yeah,  :(     It is for the ASPCA which as far as I know is a reputable organization and your donations will actually go to HELP animals and not line their pockets like HSUS.

Actually, It's the old dogs with the white faces that make me sad.

Those old guys need homes

True..i always told myself that when i get a dog, im going to the Humane Society and getting the oldest dog there, well one that doesnt have too many health issues anyways. thats no way to spend your golden years, i dont know how people can abandon their pets like that.

I live in an apartment now, but when I buy a house I want to volunteer for this program.

Flower or anyone. Where have you heard that the humane society lines their pockets with donations? I donate every once in a while and will switch charities if I know they are doing something shady. I get things in the mail from the ASPCA, also.

Here is just one site:

http://www.activistcash.com/organization_overview.cfm/oid/136

Now this is just the HSUS (Humane Society of the United States), there are local Humane Societies that are not affiliated with them and those that the money actually goes to taking care of animals I would support, but never the HSUS.  They have a lot of "causes" but don't do much for actual animals.   I would donate to your local shelter or the ASPCA where you know you will be helping animals.

I hear ya.  I wanna just call up and say "I'll take 'em all".  If Mike wasn't allergic to cats I would have kitties too, they are my favorite.  Probably why I decided to get a Chihuahua.  It's the closest I can get to a cat (size wise).  I always wanted to work in a shelter or vets.  I just wouldn't be able to survive on the pay though. :(

Post a picture!  :)

This is Ripley. She's 12 now and still tries to act like a puppy. We absolutely adore her.

The other one is Gypsy. I got her from the pound while I was searching for my grampa-in-law's lost chihuahua. She was about to get turned into the pound on my way out, and I couldn't let that happen so I took her home. She's a hyper dog, but sweet.
