How are the majority of the people going know that this new thread exists? Not everyone is going to look in the stickied thread every day to see if it's been updated. Quit trying to criticize everything everybody does around here when you don't even practice those things you're criticizing.

Easy, when the thread has been updated since last time it says "new" or you can look at the date for last post before clicking on it.

No it would depend on the links.
With UFC being the bread n butter, I try to put up links as quick as I can find them, usually the next day of a fight when there's still a buzz and people are talking about the fights, under those circumstances I believe they deserve some extra attention so people can come here and find the fights in case they missed them for whatever reason.
For other links, like for example an episode of Inside MMA or whatever, I just put it straight into the stickied thread. The reason is that it make sense to collect them all in one place, all it takes is Dreadlord or Sincity spamming the board with their cut n paste and the link would otherwise be lost.

Spamming isn't the right word, more like flooding. Nothing wrong with a little cut n paste no matter who's doing it, it all contribute to the board but I don't think it should be excessive and I know Ron feels the same way. It kinda works like Google, people just check the first hits and forgets about the rest, so Sincity or Dreadlord isn't doing the board a favor when they flood the board with every bit of info they can find, pushing down the more interesting and active threads so they eventually goes off the first page completely. :-\
That's why we used to have a sticky with MMA news withthe less interesting bits, where we (yes we, both you and Sincity posted in that thread back then) put the bits and pieces we found was less interesting and wouldn't encourage debate. That thread went to be 6-7 pages long.

I post a lot, but that's nothing new. I've got 4200+ posts on here. More than anyone. Whether you look at no of threads, no of posts, no of views, no of replies - I beat anyone! And that's just part of all I do - add to that all the work as a moderator. I'm a machine!
I don't spam though, I created the "MMA/Fighting news-thread!" over a year ago to avoid unneccessary flooding. Here's the description for that thread:
"In this thread we'll post MMA/Fighting news/rumours/interviews/fight cards!
Bigger news with more "news value" will be given their own threads along with topics that are likely to be discussed/commented."

We all know this can't be your case with the amount of time you spend on this board daily. If you think because you flood the board with posts and live on here that, that qualifies you to be mod then you should tell Ron he should quit and you'll run getbig? go outside and get some fresh air! BTW you have been flooding the board in a weak attempt to get your mod spot back!

I've spent less than an hour on Getbig today and it's 4 in the afternoon where I'm at. Just got back from the gym. I just don't see how you or anyone can criticize me knowing damn well that I've done more for the board than anyone, that just doesn't make any sense. Why would anyone do that? Unless... unless of course they have an axe to grind and are hurt beyond repair.
That is after all the ONLY possible rational explanation.

Actually 3 of those threads have to do with boxing. I am one of the few that post about boxing.. Calm down Blutard it's only mid day here in the states.. The boxing threads will pick up steam they always do. Oh and the stuff that I posted is not left overs.. I could have added the Jesse Taylor if I wanted yet, it wasn't that big of news... get off my jock kid!

Just because the threads don't have replies does not mean that people are not reading them.. See I don't expect every thread that I start to get a response. I post half of them just so people don't have to go another board and read the info elsewhere. I post on here from 4 to 5 differant sites and bring actual training knowledge to the board. In numerous styles, not just one. So see Bluto unlike you I don't worry about my post count, but I worry about keeping people coming to this board for their info instead of going to sherdog, bloodyelbow, or any other sites. Problem is it's hard to do with a fucking troll like you arguing with everyone and pissing people off to the point they find the board annoying becuase of your childish antics!

Anderson Silva still wants to pursue his fight with Roy Jones, and if Jones beats Calzage im sure he'd want it even more (Anderson has more than 2 KO's) contrary to what you had previously stated. His fight with Jones would be a big pay day, bigger than any one of his fights in the UFC.
