how far down does the bar go. I personally go to im about 1 inch prior to the chest then i press. anyone let the bar touch the chest and press or pauses anymore where the bar is paused for 1-2 seconds then pressed.

my favourite chest exersize....... when i could train propperly they were my number one for chest..... i used to lower it a midgies dick just above my collar bone, i wish id never flat benched and went straight to these...
for me personaly id tend to work up to one heavy set, if i was feeling good id add an extra set and go even heavier maybe 4 or 5 reps and do a drop or a double drop from that. Everyone is different tho, altho my brother has the exact structure as me, and he's been able to go straight to the sweet stuff off the back of my years of trial and error

STtop about a 1/2 inch away and press up 6 to 8 inches thats all you need for good stimulation

for me it depends on which incline i'm using. First gym i went to, the incline bench was awesome, so i touched the bar to my chest every time. This is what i prefer doing. But at the gym i'm at now, the incline bench is weird and if i touch my chest my shoulders ache afterwards. I think the padding is too wide on the seat making it harder to bring the bar down, so i bring it down about an inch or so from my chest.

A lot.

McFarland told me to always let the bar come down to my chest, so that's what I do.

I always get the most out of these when I go with lower reps and lots of sets. Say 3-6 reps, 8 sets.
Form was to the top of the clavicle/just under the Adam's apple, elbows out, with a pause while touching the chest.
