Title: Sweat in the first round?

Why don't more fighters come into the ring drenching in sweat for the first round? They are coming from the locker room and could get a pretty good work out before the fight.  In boxing some fighters use to spar a whole round before there fight.  I do know the judge towels them off, but if they were hot the sweat will come back pretty fast.

Is there anything you can take to help you sweat? The reason to be more slippery to prevent locks.

Also, don't take a shower and eat something that makes you smell like crap.  I remember I fought in a tournament this guy I was grappling with smelled so bad I came very close to throwing up.  At the end of the fight I was so gassed when I would take deep breaths it literally would make me sick.  I took days to get that odor out of my mind.

Yeah, That shower trick is an old one but effective. I have never personally done it but I've fought guys like that too in tounaments and its absolutely putrid. The smell gets burned into your nose. rotten BO.

egg yolks cooked with a half pound of garlic, curry and onions for three straight days does the trick nicely.   :-X

An old Hawaiian story was a rival tribe took one of the princesses from another tribe.  That tribe rubbed Kukui Nut oil all over their bodies and didn't wash it off for 3 days.  The oil which gets rancid very quickly smelled so bad that the warriors walked into camp and all the people ran because of the smell and the warriors simply grabbed the princess and walked out.
