Deal with it.upsets are coming.
-
i think if leites could get off early and get silva down he has a great shot, the only reason being the longer the fight goes the more slippery silva will be and it will be harder to hold a limb for a sub. i like leites alot, hes a great guy as well as great fighter, hes a good family man and has a humble attitude. im hoping he wins cause his wife just had a baby girl or shes expecting a baby girl, either way a win over silva would change his life and provide some nice paydays to secure a better future for him and his family.

I'll take a bet on those. Did you see how many time Coleman hit Rua in their last fight? Chuck hits a lot harder. He's going to drop Rua in R1. And Andersen is going to brutally annihilate Leites*.
*Unless of course there is a freak punch from no where that someone gets caught by :)
-
Given Chuck's fortune as of late, anything is possible. Personally I see Silva beating Leites in under 3 minutes. First 30 seconds he'll find his range, then he'll go to work. He knows his fight with Cote was bad so I expect a good showing.

Anderson by first round KO
Lidell by second round TKO
Anyone else ordering it tommorow?

I picked every fight right at the bar I was at last night except the main event.Silva is going to get beat soon though.

You picked Leites to win...lol. He didn't land a single punch and any time Andersen went after him he fell to his back ::) So, who is going to be beating Silva soon? I'm dying to know...

Maybe you could take his back and choke him out? ;D

33 is old ??? I'm sure age will catch up to him, but it won't be soon...

He's 34...once a person (in any sport) hits there mid 30's they are on borrowed time.and if you factor in that most fighters only fight once every 6 months or so I give him 2-3 fights before he goes down hill fast.If he retires when he should and don't hang on to long like Liddell, couture and many others then cool. But hey time will tell....literally.

The guy takes no damage in his fights and he is in his early 30's. You said he is going to get beat soon. If by soon you mean in 4-5 years then I guess you're right ::)

here's your quote. You said he is going to be beat soon. Most would say son means sometime in the next year. I'll ask again, who is going to beat him "soon"?

He's the only one that's given him any real challenge, but he looked like an old man against Franklin. If he couldn't beat him the 1st time, he's not going to the 2nd time....

first off "son"means male child...but if you mean soon...As I said I give him 2-3 fights before he declines just as all ageing fighters do. And as I also said 6 months between fights that puts the time table of one to one and half years.who beats him?who ever he is scheduled to fight him.And as I also said this is all speculative that he keeps fighting and doesn't retire after a few more fights.

He's not going to be beat any time soon. Unless you want to redefine the whole meaning of the word ::)
-
Hes not going to be beat anytime soon because theres no one in the division. He'll probably fight Wandy in a few months and wipe the floor with him. After that I think he needs to drop to welterweight or GSP needs to move up to 185 for him to have any shot of losing again. Also- Dana is not going to put another chump in front of him and alienate the fans, so I doubt he'll fight again for a while.

someone needs to take the eyerolling icon away from you ::).care to make a wager? If Silva loses any of his next three fights you resign your mod status permanently. If he wins all three of his next fights I will never again post on the MMA board permanently...just figured It would make things interesting.Being as we don't know who any of his next three opponent's are or what weight class the fights will be in......regardless I'm callin it now He takes a lose in one of his next three fights.you sound very sure he won't get beat anytime soon so it's a no brainer for you...right?

lol. It looks like I'm in your head.

took you that long to think up that classic response...wow ok..I'll take that as a no.

Were you waiting in front of your computer all day for a response...ha ha. It's a fools bet. If Matt Serra can beat GSP, anything can happen in MMA. And, there are plenty of guys with more than a punchers chance of beating Andersen. Not to mention, you could register under any name and come back to Get Big anytime.
But, I'll play your game. And, let's make it interesting. Let's bet $500 that Anderson does not lose his belt "soon". We'll define soon as his next two fights or 1 yr., which ever comes first. Let's have Ron hold the cash. Deal??

oh here we go...you win.your in my head.I was just trying to keep it friendly..I'll just have to stick with the classic "I told you so"when he loses one of his next 3 fights..but I like how your already covering your tracks by saying theres plenty of guys that have a chance of beating Silva.especially after just a few days ago you were laughing at me for basically saying the same thing.

Not covering my tracks. I don't think there is anyone in the middle weight division that can come close. I think that if he goes up to 205, he'll have stiffer competition. And, actually think that if he went to 170 or a catch weight to fight GSP, he would have his hands full.
