I’m sure the guys at Chips were making more. They got a lot more traffic because of all the promotion they were doing.
You couldn’t make a living on it but it was nice extra cash and bennies. This was 1981-1985. I did some back East a few years earlier. A few friends and I actually started when we were in Florida on Spring break. A club manager approached us and hired all of us (about 6 of us) as a “plant” for a contest.
