Title: hitting upper glutes??
Post by: littlechris on May 03, 2009, 06:37:51 PM
hey yall,
my training is going good, i plan on competing in the fall of next year and currently working on my weak bodyparts. one of them is trying to develop my upper glutes where they tie in to my lower back.  my lower glutes are developed and always sore, but i cant seem to isolate the upper glutes.  any suggestions. thanks in advance.

I am guessing Littlechris is a women BB'er (hope so).

Anyway, you may have a problem here because you will not be able to isolate the glutes the way you want.  If you have more junk/muscle in your lower trunk than that is more likely due to your genetic make up. Like some people seen to never be able to develop the upper pecs or a high bicep peak the way they should be developed. It's that evil word again, genetics. Good Luck.

abductor machine. Start with legs together and fight the weight outward....do 12-15 reps.
