Title: When was the MM pose first performed?
Post by: lax on May 06, 2009, 10:25:10 AM: I don't think I have ever seen C Ross and S Reeves or Grimek did one....although there exists a really good one of an early Dan Lurie.

anyone know?

In fact, if I am not mistaken...he was the first/one of the first guys on Weider's cover

The first modern guy to popularize it was Harold Poole. He owned it for several years- at least til Sergio came along. I still think Sergio owns it.

not trying to be funny, but it is exactly that pose that gave bodybuilding it's perverted connotation. to an outsider at first glance it seems that something else is being done here not a most muscular pose.

I don't know how much the mm gave bb the bad rap it enjoys today....
