When you diet down what gets lean first on you? On me it's my legs and face that become lean long before the rest of me.

Face. Cut carbs a bit and within a few days i can see a bit of a difference.

Everything shrinks but the midsection for the first week or two. This is the shittiest part. I look worse two weeks in.
Back fat will never go unless I decide 120lbs is a good look for me.

The very intention of the thread was to find out individual differences in noticeable fat loss so the very concept of difference is already assumed then you come along and state the obvious

Did you listen to that interview with Lyle McDonald by Dave Palumbo on rxmuscle? He talked about unique fat loss patterns experienced by women and he was saying how often women can get very lean up top and gain fat below in the same process. Research showed that fat cells can actually transfer in women
I thought that was very interesting

Missed that one...most women have a hard time getting the lower body lean. I don't have a problem getting lean everywhere, it just takes longer for the lower body, and I have to get to an overall lower level of BF to lean out my legs... I have a hard time believing that fat cells actually transfer from one area to another.

What happens to your upper body while you are getting your legs so lean. Does it get leaner or do you lose a lot of fullness and possibly some definition?

My boobs dwindle away to nothing...like from a D cup to an A cup (but they come back pretty quickly).
I definitely lose some fullness in my upper body and possibly some size, but not definition, any my upper body conditioning gets pretty crazy. My chest, bis, and tris are striated.

my wrist & forearms.
my watches get looser. when i'm puffy I actually get to wear my gmt master because it isn't all loose on my wrist. :/
legs gain and lose size, but are always lean.
face gets wayyy sucked in sub 6%.
abs & serratus are always there.

That's weird, exact opposite for me.. I made a thread asking the exact same thing one time.

The first place that you gain fat as a baby is the last place you really notice change as you diet as an adult.
It makes sense that the leanest parts on your body (pre-diet) would look even leaner during and after the diet.
Face has thin skin, ankles, forearms, biceps
Thick skin is on lower belly, back (all of the back actually since that fat is meant to protect the spine and CNS)
Quads are fairly thick especially the upper quad b/c that fat is meant to protect one of the largest and fastest bleeding veins in your body.
Everybody WISHES that the abs would lose first, but then you'd look like that jackass with the implants.
Underarm fat stays fairly thick too as it is protecting a lot of nerves. Don't believe me? Get a tattoo there... lol :-X
Last place to go generally speaking on a Mesomorph is his lower abdominal and lower back fat. This is an area that really is never very active, hence the "broomstick twists" which can liberate fat cells to be released into the blood system. No, it's not "Spot reduction" but those fat cells do not return to the place they came from... so I suppose in theory it could be considered a *kind* of spot reduction.
Try to keep your least active areas on your body active. It's not EZ. Diet must be in check, spot on. Cardio? All depends.

I will look worst the 2-3 first weeks, then afterward my waist start getting smaller and smaller and I lose the lower back fat and then I actually look like I have some kind of V-taper

It is, but it's noteworthy to then say that most individual genes regarding fat loss are basically the same in males just so you don't get the wrong idea reading up on this.
So generally speaking there is a order, males lose fat in the face first, I believe, and then arms and places furthest away from the core of the physique. Ending with the stomach fat last where most carry the energy storage since the core is the ideal place to carry extra weight.
