Title: Advice needed on Proper Bench
Post by: YungBuc21 on June 11, 2009, 02:16:40 PM
I am 21, 200 lbs. about 13% bodyfat and benching 345lbs. squat 365lbs. No special dieting and only take a multi-vitamin.
My question is that no one really ever explained how to properly to the bench I lie down, eyes on the bar, squeeze my shoulder blades, no help with lift off, all the way down about an inch from touching my chest, back up. No wraps or belt. My back stays arched not high to injure myself but I don't know if proper form would be to have a flat back on the bench what is proper form? I am finally getting into heavy weight and I understand I can be prone to injury am I doing proper form?
