“I misjudged him, he turned into a whole different person. I told him a few weeks ago, I had a sit down with him. I told him that he was an asshole and that I have zero respect (for him) and I cant train people that I have no respect for. Can’t ever. He just turned into a different guy, he didn’t need to do the things that I told him to do. He wasn’t going to go to the ground, you know? He learned some things but he started to forget them. In the Thompson fight he did some great escapes in round number one but once fatigue hit him, he didn’t do anything. And what I didn’t like about the Thompson fight as well was he said afterwards ‘Yeah, we planned on fighting three rounds’ and I told him ‘Don’t say that, you were lucky the referee didn’t stop the fight in the second round’. Don’t say we planned to fight three rounds, it wasn’t a plan. If (my students) don’t do what I say, they are out. I am there for the best interests of the fighters, I want them to win. If they don’t accept that, bye bye.”

Cool that Kimbo is on the show, but the main character/fighter for their advertising?
I understand his popularity, but come on. Shameless really.
Oh well I guess whatever makes the sport grow.

And Bas needs to shut his mouth. He still wants publicity off of Kimbo. The only reason he trained him
to begin with was publicity.

bas calls it like it is, you maybe right as far as bas doing it to get more attention but bas is all business when the training starts. ive seen alot of mma fighters hit pads over the years but i can never forget in 98 when bas came up north jersey to the academy i trained at called bayway academy of martial arts, bas gave a 3 hour seminar and then rolled with us and kicked the pads, to this day ive never seen a man kick with such devastating power and accuracy. i thought the thia bag was going to snap in half, nobody wanted to hold the pads for him  to kick, one guy did and had to go ice his forarm cause of the pain and bruise. i didnt mean to hijack the thread and try to turn it into a (bas is the greatest) thread, lol, but its something i felt would be cool to share about bas,s insane striking power. back to kimbo, we all know hes there to get the ratings even higher. when its all said and done its the $$$$$ and ratings that the ufc/spike tv look at when the season for that ultimater fighter is over

Couldn't have said it better.   Absolutely correct here.

Kimbo needs to ride everything that comes his way until the wheels fall off. Get front end $$$ on anything he signs and just go for it win lose or draw imo. He's got nothing to lose only $$$ to gain either way...he can then do whatever he wants after that "window" has closed but he needs to take advantage of stuff like this

Haha, ''the joke of mma'' is now tuf's poster boy. Wouldn't suprise me if he would get into the ufc this way (if he's still such a rating cannon he probably will).
