This past Saturday’s main event tilt between Diego Sanchez and Clay Guida peaked at 2.8 million viewers on Spike TV, according to a report posted today on the official UFC site. The bout, which headlined the promotion’s Season 9 Finale for “The Ultimate Fighter,” saw Sanchez awarded a Split Decision victory.
The report goes onto further that the card, which took place in Las Vegas, Nevada, “was the most watched-program in all of television in Men 18-34 and Men 18-49.”
Over all, the event, which also saw Britain’s Ross Pearson and James Wilks win their TUF 9 finals bouts against Andre Winner and DaMarques Johnson respectively, drew an overall 1.5 household rating, with a 2.1 in the 18-49 year-old male demographic and a 2.3 with men 18-34.
According to a the report, the ratings for the TUF 9 Finale were the highest for the reality program since its season six finals, and the season overall, drew its best ratings in the 18-34 year-old male demographic since season five.
