What? No? Ok, how about a proposal?
What? No? Ok, how about an idea then?
What? No? Really? Seems like they ain't got shit. (as usual)

Well Grassley's solution is to go get a job with the Federal Govt.
What's it called when everyone works for the government?
-
What exactly is the problem with healthcare?
-
The republican solution is rugged individualism free from dependancy.
What's wrong with you leaches?

If it were possible for individuals, self employed and so forth to get meaningful health insurance at reasonable prices from private sources, your argument would have merit...

Exactly. :)
It's possible to afford health insurance. It's just that the prices aren't near reasonable.

Beg your pardon sir, It is NOT possible for someone on their own to get health insurance comparable to a group plan... and IF you develop a chronic condition (everyone does eventually) you are on a black list.
Incidentally, the movement to electronic medical records is a going to put people into easily discernible groups to make it easy to discriminate against.

Beg your pardon sir, I am self employed, on my own, and afford my own health insurance. And i pay out the kazoo. ;)

Honestly, I would go out on a limb and say that the majority of the un-insured aren't small business owners.

I agree.
Health care IS a problem here. It's over priced, weighed down, and of a low standard in many cases for a nation like the USA. the system DOES need a overhaul.

The Republicans have solutions for healthcare. They have been stated time and time again. But you dont want to hear them because they are not dramatic enough. They just work.

I would go out on another limb and say a LOT of small biz owners are probably going to be losing their health care in the next few years.
Whether isn't cap/trade, healthcare change by obama, or just the recession leading to lsess business meaning you can't pay for it.
Mine just went up again :( I'm probably gonna quit mine and get on the family plan soon, as blanket state insurance is just about cheaper than my own as a healthy young man with no medical probs.

Why didn't Bush implement these solutions from 2001 through 2005?

Insurance policies are still not allowed to be sold across state lines. Why is that? I think we can all figure it out(lobbyists). Competition always drives down the costs of goods and services(how many fast food restaurants now have dollar menus?????
