He is catching shit, because not everyone who is homeless is that way from being lazy. What if the guy lost his whole family to a car wreck or something and was never able to recover after that? No one knows why people are the way they are, and sometimes it's a bad situation. Granted the dude could be a fucking crackhead. It would have been the better of Tito to just say no thanks and walk off. Not be a dick to someone he didnt know the story on....

It's one thing if he had some kind of disability, but, he's a big, able-bodied guy who can speak english. He's got the energy to spend the day harassing people for money. What's stopping him from getting a security guard job?

I would say it depends on the situation, if a guy walks up to me as I'm wallking out of a store and asks me for money I probably just ignore them, I hate when they try to pull that white guilt shit like you owe them... But if I'm at a stop light or see someone just sitting on the curb or something I'll give them a buck if I have it or at least an extra water. Pay it forward man, you never know when you might need some help.
