HI all im new to th forum_ Im from Australia and just did my 1st NABBA comp last week. Been training seriously for 6yrs. I came in at 94kg and about 3% bodyfat. I knew I wouldnt be on the big side so I really went hard to get condition. However I soon realised that I need MORE MASS. I wish to embark on a BULKING diet for 6months or so... ANy info I can be directed towards? Last bulking diet was 5000 calories per day 300grams Protein.. I have a fast metabolism so i need to up the calories. Im thinking a clean bulking diet of about 7000calories/day.. I cant seem to find ny good info on the net, thay ll say is an excuse to get fat-- But i need to develop muscularity so any info would be greatly appreciated,\Cheers Frank..

7K clean calories per day is going to be quite a task.
I would say that your best bet might be to try to maintain a steady 5K cal/day clean and then add in one cheat day per week where you go 7k+ cal of anything. You could also look at it differently and instead of a cheat day just do one cheat meal per day in the 1,000-2,000+ calories (early in the day).
As you have noticed the quality of food will be the most important thing, but calories are also required if you want to put on size.
There is another thread right now that is running about heavy cream - that can be a great way to boost your calories in your low carb meals (tastes great with a protein shake).

I agree to stay consistent and slowly increase. Even adding two eggs and a small patty of ground beef per day adds up to alot of calories over a months times

Thanx fellas, I like the idea of eating clean with one cheat meal per day to boost calories. That could allow the high calorie quota to be achievable:). I have also read some information on cycling your calorie intake. Example 2 weeks high calories 6000+ followed by 2 weeks low calories 2500calories. then weeks 5,6 high calories then weeks 7, 8 low.. cycled in this fashion:) This could be good?
This is my first week after my comp (12weeks diet) and I am back up to 100kg from 93(on the comp day). So a gain of 6kg+ in a week !! It appears my body is sucking all the nutrients outta food creating an anabolic environment. This makes me believe the above mentioned calorie cycle diet may jst work !!

I don't know that I would make such huge changes if you are going to cycle calories. Perhaps something like 5,000/3,000/3,000/5,000/3,000/3,000/6,000 would make for a good weekly split but dropping from 6,000 for an extended period down to 2,500 for an extended period would destroy your energy levels and subsequently have a negative impact on training.
Most bodybuilders who I know of have another competitor help them with their diet so that they can tweak things and see how your body responds to each alteration. Do you have anyone there who can help you locally? That is going to be your best bet.
