Title: Freelance Personal Training
Post by: ALLTRIS on January 01, 2010, 11:27:05 PM
As a member of a gym, that does have trainers available, is it legal and ethical to offer training services? Can I train people who have memberships? I have a great job, but in this economy you never know, lay offs and such. I hesitate to ask the owner with out knowing what the consensus of the industry is.

I am guessing your gym likely has a rule against it.  If you do it do it quietly and don't solicite members at the gym.

gym owners frown on it, just do it on the dl.

Use to train at lifetime and if we so much as suspected a person was training clients we would kick them out and revoke their membership...not saying it doesnt happen but make it look like youre actually working out with them instead of training them
