Title: First timer looking for suggestions
Post by: Norrit on January 06, 2010, 02:51:46 AM
Ok, I'm almost 40, and I'm overweight. I was 340 lbs 4 months ago. I started just running on an eliptical machine. I saw these guys lifting and decided I wanted to get in shape. I read these boards for about 6 hours and got a personal trainer at the gym. I started lifting 7 weeks ago, and I have had some great strength gains. I'm down to 280 lbs, and my bench went from just the bar to 225.

A few guys at the gym are telling me to run a cycle if I want to get anywhere fast. I have type II diabetes and I really need to lose the weight. I was thinking of doing HGH because I'm not sure how test would react with my blood sugar. Should I wait longer to do a cycle or should I just run 1 cycle now to get a boost?

Dont post a pic. Keep training just like your doing. You dont need drugs at this point in your training. You seem to be making very good gains doing what your doing. Keep training hard, and think about running a cycle when you get your BF way down. Congrats on the accomplishments you've made so far. Keep it up, and keep educating your self on diet, training, and AAS, if that is where you are headed.

Good job on your new motivation.  What kind of douch bags would be telling you to get on a cycle at this point?  My goodness.  Bothers me a bit to see you are talking to them and thinking about it even.  As was said you do not need it at this point at all.

Keep training and dieting till you build a decent physiqe where people walk up to you and say "hey it looks like you work out".  Do as much as you can natural for a couple years.  Since you are in your 40's next physical done after working out for a good while longer get your hormone levels checked to see where your test levels are, HRT may be a good choice.  At that point maybe think about a cycle but truely give it time and use you natural abilities first, you can do it and sounds like you have made good progress already.
