Too bad the nexus is having a shit ton of problems with it's 3G connection.  I would love the app that fucks with people every time they brag about a new app. Shit is so annoying.

Are you saying Google can't Google itself for answers to that problem?

 Iphone 4th generation.
 Summer 2010. :D ;D 8)

Until summer only thing i can do is this.

 Control a toy helicopter.

iPhone games could be headed toward another dimension. A new augmented reality toy helicopter, the AR.Drone by Paris-based technology firm Parrot, is controlled via Wi-Fi with an iPhone or iPod Touch.

Moving the iPhone or iPod Touch, which have built-in accelerometers, directs the toy helicopter forward and backward and turning and other directions. Buttons on the iPhone make it go up or down.

The chopper has four propellers and two on-board video cameras. One camera assists in flight, the other broadcasts video back to the device. That's where game developers could use the toy's capabilities to create augmented reality games to play in the real world, says Parrot founder Henri Seydoux.

"For the first time, you can play together with a friend like a flying ace," he says. "You pilot your copter and could shoot him in the game, and the video camera makes that connection."

Adding the AR.Drone to a game could get gamers off the couch, he says. "You are not playing in front of a display, you are playing in your backyard in reality, you are piloting in reality. You will see that is much more interesting because you have to factor in the wind and places you can hide for real," Seydoux says.

Parrot is demonstrating the AR.Drone at the Consumer Electronics Show and talking to game developers who might want to use the technology. "This will bring imagination to the game space," Seydoux says. "It is a new kind of gaming platform."

and no 3G on AT&T network. Fix that and the browser and google might have a winner.

It's "too big" is an advantage.  Bigger touchscreens are cooler.  3.7 to 3.5 on the I-phag = better.

The "android" isn't a phone, it's an operating system.  The G1, Droid, Eris, Samsung Moment, HTC Hero, etc.. and now the Nexus, uses it.

Because it's from Google DOES mean shit.  It's platform is favorable to developers and they don't have to undergo the draconian Apple approval process for apps.  It's early, but the whole Android platform in general presents a huge threat to Apple's long term domination inthe smart phone race.

You know what I meant... dude, my first phone was the motorola brick in 1993, it feels like we're going back to that, I have a blackberry curve and an iphone now, both seem really big compared to the last batch of cell phones (that were not neccesarily smart phones) I remember in 2004 I had one of the first old schol blackberries, the blue one... that thing was a MONSTER , was very uncomfortable to talk on it, but the display was great for surfing the web.

I don't think the Nexus or I-phone has gone too far at all.  I'd rather look at photos/videos and surf the web on a brilliant 3.5-4" display with the sizes the phones are now, as opposed to going back to some microsized flip phone that you can't do shit for multimedia on.

Problem is weight. People want light weight. Now adays we lug around keys, wallet, cellphone, people want light weight. But they want all the lux that comes with this whole new gen of multimedia gadgets. More than likely the future is in lightweight paper- thin and flexible touchscreens.

Maybe Google may  catch up and surpass Apple, but Apple has the jump and the branding, kinda like it's Coke and Google is RC Cola. And Apple's "draconian" app approval may just be a good way of having qaulity control as well. But, I wish that they would approve of Adobe Flash player for Iphone. Sux going on some sites (ahem porn), and can't play video.

Main improvements the I-phone needs to address for 4th gen (in which case, I might finally git one)

1) - slightly larger screen (to compete with Nexus and Doird at 3.7")
2) - OLED screen
3) - bump up to 64GB memory (this is a given)
4) - removeable/replaceable battery (not likely to happen)
5) - FLASH and java support
6) - FLASH for the camera
7) - bump up to 5MP or greater for the camera
8) - speech to text capability
9) - Much improved battery life
10) - Better call stability
11) - HD video playback (native)
12) - HD video camera
13) - wireless charging
14) - multi-carrier
15) - software update with true multitask capability like Palm Pre's OS does

9 and 10 obviously the most important.
