I have a question on this Health Care mess.
Obama has claimed that his health care bills will lower insurance premiums for families via cost control and other measures in the bill.
If that is the case and he really believes that, than why does he need to give himself the regulatory power to stop insurance companies from increasing premiums that he deems are excessive?
Shouldnt the bills stop that on their own according to what he has claimed?

I think I have them and anyone supporting this monstrosity nailed to the wall on this.

333 you know they will be too busy finding a way to link this to palin and them racist tea party going people

It's not my bill i didn't write it so why would i have all the answers? Do i support it, somewhat. I support reform but not compulsory insurance.

I know that and fully expect those people to pull those romper room tactics, but this is a serious point concerning health care that Obama wants.
If he believes his bill will lower premiuims, than why does he need to give himself regulatory power to stop premium increases he deems "excessive"?
Isnt that an admission in of itself that he knows his bills are going spike the premiums due to their contradictory mandates on carriers as it is?

KC - do you understand the question I posed?

Of course i do it seems to be a contradiction on his part. I believe it will lower costs but by retaining regulatory power he has the overall say so that costs do not somehow get out of hand. I'm sure you're aware that regardless of what is in the bill to stop it the insurance companies would try their best to find a way to circumnavigate whatever restrictions are in place.
