Title: 2nd Revolutionary War?

The Department of Homeland Security classifies them as potential “domestic terrorists”; they prefer to be called patriots. As the economic crisis deepens, a growing movement of Americans is rejecting the two-party system and the mainstream media. They believe a violent revolution is imminent, and they’re getting ready for it now.

Armed conflict is a great idea until it actually happens.

I dont think we are heading for a shooting situation ala the blue v the grey, but I do believe we are headed for a massive collapse and there will be civil unrest when people are broke, ghungry, and the welfare stops coming.

Did you watch the film 333?  One of the speakers i thought was very level headed, talking about violence is what fuels further oppression.

Chris Hedges is the guy.  He seemed very level headed in his opposition, i don't fear people like him.  I fear people like that lady who says she will take up arms against the government.  The marine i don't fear either he was reasonable, logical at times.  But it's people like that lady who give me the creeps because what she fails to realise is the government isn't one person, it's not a machine or an inanimate object.  It's people.  People like us.  That desire to take up arms, that almost begging desire is what makes the fringe movements on the fringe and frightens the majority.

I agree, and sadly KC, I truly believe we are heading there regardless unless we have a massive WW3 in the meantime.

When you look at everything as a whole, demogragraphics, public debt, private debt, no jobs, 100 trillion in unfunded liability, huge local taxes, I seriously dont see any way out of this mess that ends well.

honestly, every dickhead CW2er that throws a moltov cocktail at a govt-built stop sign will do nothing more than enable obama to enact legislation to shut their tea party shit down.

or maybe you weren't watching the news in the 90s when Clinton was given free pass to disassemble the tea partiers of his era (the militias) due to a few ppl like Mcveigh

my answer?

Repub party smart enough to stick to tea party beliefs.
Tea party smart enough to pyhsically escort off the stage, any speaker with a racist tone.

Finally, and most importantly, every keyboard warrior CW2er should use his blogging skills to start a local support group for their beliefs.  get together with 100 people from their area with the same beliefs, and pick a candidate to run for local office.

In 5 years, that local city official has the backing and experience to run for city council or mayor.  In 10 years, he is governor.  In 15 years, he's running for president.

That's my solution (and I very rarely do offer solutions).  The tea party is RIGHT on most issues, but in efforts to make/raise money, they're letting race into things, unnecessrily.  Throw out race, get a whole new generation of candidates, and win from within, baby!

240 - where I live I feel absolutely it is hopeless to do that.

maybe today, the majority of people around you are libs.

Will it be like this in 5 years, after they've been taxed to shit and healthcare is upside down?
