I always found it odd he had such high calves, especially for a German.

I lived there 6 years and speak German.  My wife is German also.

there really are alot of african americans in germany

It's very common among high profile sports superstars.

Tiger, Kobe, Doyle Brunson, Nadezhda Ostapchuk...
