I might be a mesomorph and i never knew it because i shunned athletics and my mom prevented me from doing sports except for mandatory PE anyways.
Makes sense as that now im older im gaining weight a bit more easily and i have the vast potential to fill out nicely. Plus it explains the gut when most ectos dont have one.

If people want to make fun of a person trying to better himself, physically mentally and emotionally, than they are the ones who are fucked up and shouldnt belong on a bodybuilding forum as they should support people like me dealing with similar issues and trying to improve themselves, not tear them down to the point that they give up.

The Path I Want To Take

I’m a newcomer to the world of bodybuilding. I come from a skinny family, with only one real athlete of any sort. When I was 18 years of age I weighed 90lbs due to depression and poor eating. A year later, thanks to support to staff at the program I was at, I was at a healthy weight, and was beginning to lift on and off. That’s when the weight lifting bug bit me. I eventually came to MD’s forums and began a journal, because I want to be more of a man. I want to walk the path of Iron and Steel.
I am not the strongest or biggest individual on the face of this earth, and at the moment I am awhirl in information; information on how to lift, how to eat, what supplements to take or not take; I am in a whirlpool of choices. Sometimes I do slip up (okay a lot of the time) and this has led to many people belittling me, telling me I will never be what I want to be, that I will be stuck as a skinny, weak, nerdy boy; instead of the strong, muscular, confidant man I should be. I take their insults, their slanders, and I use it to motivate me in my path. They provide fuel for the fire that burns inside me. It makes me want to lift more, eat more, train harder, and run faster; to prove them wrong and that I will be strong, and have the body that I deserve to have. They call me weak and skinny, those are temporary. Their words might sting, but the pain of their words is like the buzzing of gnats to the struggle with the iron in every training session. And I have friends who support me in this struggle.
The man, who on the forum is known as TheKillerofSaints, showed me a way of training I never thought to try. Previously I did five day routines, and all it gave me was little growth and a shot nervous system. He told me about HIT training, an exercise regimen and school of thought that he said was perfect for me. He was right. Through his guidance I am stronger at every training session, I feel better about myself, and I am growing little by little every day. He is just one of the people who have helped me out in my quest.
I am at present a skinny, World of Warcraft playing, nerdy shell of a human being, with little confidence. With bodybuilding, I hope to be big and strong for the first time in my life, and to not just be a bipedal brain stuck in his own little world. It will make me more confident in myself, make me more outgoing. It will make me become brave, active, and a man. A man is not a mouse at a computer, a man walks the path of iron, and that’s what I want to take.

Agreed, I never post in threads like this because you never know how it will make people feel. The kid is new to training and bodybuilding and is inspired by what he see's in the magazines and online LIKE ALL OF US WERE WE FIRST STARTED OUT. Encourage the kid don't bag on him.

What strikes me as odd is these people that think they are special because they "have feelings".
I bet they are so many people who can relate to this, because we're all humans. It's normal to want to improve, to have doubts and to make mistakes and eventually learn from them.
Generation Internet seems to spawn a whole lot of people that think they are better because they tell these obvious stuff to the world, even if it interest nobody.
Lesson to learn from it: If you want to become something in this world, you don't show you doubts, you hide your errors the best you can, and you only show your superior side. Nobody's interested in the flaws.
Can you imagine Arnold becoming what he is now always whining about his poor english, his struggles, his movies that flopped and so on?? No, he always gave a big smile and seemed superior to everyone.
This Daniel guy is pathetic, he should man the fuck up and stop writing this bullshit, it's embarassing as hell. He is even ruining his career, because most obviously the internet never forgets and by having a quick google search any employer can read this bullshit. Toal fail.

Why is it so fucking wrong that Im different than you guys? Whats so fucking wrong about not fitting the mold exactly? You guys constantly attack me for not being like you guys, yet I dont attack you for being like me.
In the end we're all different from each other. We all have our slight differences, and our major ones. You guys say my taste in music is "gay", yet people could say the same thing about the sport we mutually enjoy.
While I admit I have my issues, doesnt mean I should be treated like a fucking pariah. The same goes for my tastes, my identity, etc.
So in the end, why do you hate me for not being the definiton in your mind of normal?
And why the fuck do you expect me to just suddenly go out and be social, and party hearty when you wouldnt expect a person just out of the hospital after a major operation to be ready to go straight back to doing everything he was doing before he had to be admitted.

The hurt is there, still a dull ache. Like some people stabbed me in the kidney region and stampeded over my head (which is how im feeling now)
I know its gonna take a while to mend fences, but I'll do ANYTHING to mend them.
I still feel like a person chased out of a town and is forced to wander the desert, with no companionship.
The feeling of lonliness has turned into red hot rage.
On this, the Day of Atonement in my faith, I atone for my sin of breaking a friend's trust, for being an asshole, for hijacking Ron's thread, and more. They were choices, bad ones, and I admit I made them and must make things right someday.
BUT
You guys had a choice too. You could have been the one small voice of reason that said "Uh guys, enough. I think we've hounded him enough!" But no, you had to join the fucking mob, a mob of which I agree Im the cause, but for supposed friends you really bite the big one.
A complete stranger was the only one who stood up for me in all the shouts and what not, not a friend, those "friends" decided to unleash all their righteous anger on me.
So fucking join the mob, beat me until Im dead, Im still gonna workout, eat right, get big and ripped, and not let you guys bring me down with your shouts.
I admit Im the fucking cause, but instead of making a peaceable solution, YOU only exercebated the problem.

His dream is not unrealistic, but still he should for now just try to get better and adjust his goals as he goes along. But he doesn't know how to train, or even train hard enough to see good progress, typical problem for beginners.

Your comparison is too harsh. You are comparing very rare intellectual levels to something we all have: our bodies ability to react to the stresses imposed on it. We don't know the guys genetical structure, the technology is not that advanced yet. And we simply don't know how much of progress at natural bodybuilding (I assume he is natural) is dictated by genes, and how much by hard work.

Lifting is a great hobby but it's not going to be the pot of gold that's going to change everything, if anything it's going to cause more trouble for him due to his obsessive nature. If you like to workout out, then do it. Don't worry about who "approves" be it your mom, internet posters or whomever, if it makes you feel better about yourself, keep lifting but focus on other areas of your life and you will be much happier. I hope this kid finds whatever happiness he's looking for.

Right now it's usually 5-6 meals a day; most meals tend to be chicken and rice with water to drink.
Breakfast is sometimes scrambled eggs or eggbeaters, toast, multi, 369 oil and vit c pill (last three are a given as well as juice)
My shakes (usually pre and post workout, but i might drop the pre one) are 2 scoops protein powder (myofusion or syntha6), 10g each creatine lglutamine and 10oz milk. As I usually get a shake from the gym cooler omw home, i usually mix 10g bcaas creatine and lglutamine into a tall glass of juice.
Before bed its 1 scoop protein powder and 5oz milk

now that the diet is outta the way, how hard do you bust ass in the gym? are you sore after every workout? do you go to failure with perfect form? do you do squats? and how long have you been training?

1. Mental approach.
- Everyone struggles
Everyone, even Arnold S, went thru times in their life (particularly in their teen/early adult years), when they felt discouraged and depressed. Read his autobiography, and other famous, successful people's bios - you will find them encouraging.
- Limit your internet usage
What's different now is the 24/7, anonymous communication made possible by the internet. For some purposes (e.g., cancer survivor groups), the Net can be a great social support. But in many other instances it can be terrible (e.g., kids committing suicide after being "cyber-bullied".)
Unless you're planning a career in computers, Real Life happens OFF the internet - in the gym, at school, at work, etc.
- Balance
Write down a few other things important to you BESIDES bodybuilding - maybe it's gardening, stamp collecting, volunteer work, school/work - doesnt matter what it is, but pick a few things that are important to you + mentally commit to work hard in these areas.
2. Bodybuilding per se.
- calculate the # grams of protein you are eating. The MAXIMUM you need to eat is 1 gram per pound of actual body weight.
- lift no more than 4 - 5 times per week.
- change the exercises you do at least monthly (e.g., dont squat all the time, but occasionally do leg presses, or heck just run up + down the stairs for 30 minutes - that's an excellent workout and one that Arnold S. recommends in 1 of his books)
- change your intensity at least monthly (i.e., dont go all out every workout)
Good luck + stay positive.

Yeah Im gonna be balancing bodybuilding with school, right now my job is keeping me occupied as well but sometimes there is too much down time when there are no patients to transport up or down the elevator. (Funny that you mention stairs, I tend to use those more often than not when checking in on people to see if theyre ready to come downstairs)
I squat and legpress on the same day, but yeah I agree in a few months im gonna need to change the workout.

I work in a rehab facility/assisted living home as a transporter for the physical therapists. Basically I take people in wheelchairs up and down elevators all day or go searching for them to see if theyre ready lol. Actually, the facility doesnt pay me, because Im working there due to a city program (Summer Youth Employment Program or SYEP) I get paid by the city...they missed a pay day but ill be reimbursed lol
then all you gotta do is repeat this everyday for a long time and you'll see results

Right now it's usually 5-6 meals a day; most meals tend to be chicken and rice with water to drink.
Breakfast is sometimes scrambled eggs or eggbeaters, toast, multi, 369 oil and vit c pill (last three are a given as well as juice)
My shakes (usually pre and post workout, but i might drop the pre one) are 2 scoops protein powder (myofusion or syntha6), 10g each creatine lglutamine and 10oz milk. As I usually get a shake from the gym cooler omw home, i usually mix 10g bcaas creatine and lglutamine into a tall glass of juice.
Before bed its 1 scoop protein powder and 5oz milk
Syntha 6 sucks big time, more sugar than protein in that. Get a real protein at least.
And 10g creatine is way over the top, 5g is enough.

I may do an NPC event as well but it depends on time. My goal now is to compete 2 a year rather than one every 3 years. My plan would be for him to sit home and eat junk food all day long. I would have him lift no more than 5 pounds at the gym. He would get 1 hour a sleep a night.

Sounds like a decent plan the pro qualifier is definately tougher, your arms are really long maybe if you can fill them out a bit and nail conditioning results will be better this time.

No they wouldn't. He did one and was such an embarassment the promoter asked him not to enter again. That IS why he enters the NGA contest (well beside being able to see more guys in thongs). A couple of the competitors that were in that show came on here or another board and told the story. Just like when he says all the jobs he has had. He got fired from every one of them. But, he says he was laid off due to cutbacks. EVERY job he has has he has got fired. That IS why he HAS to be his own boss, no one wants him around. See the pattern

As for the teen nats, i got mixed opinions. While I do agree that after looking at the stills, Cody does look better than Nick. However, stills can only say so much, the majority of us werent in the building during the judging so we dont know how it went in Nick's direction. As for the rumors of a "win-as-gift", while I do say it is a bit suspicious, until there is hard evidence Im not going to go down that path.
I think most of the outcry is mostly by a bunch of people jumping on the bandwagon with more vocal forum members. In the end, this will be all forgotten by Labor Day and then there will be similar threads post-Olympia.
