Title: Dymatize - what do you think?
Post by: rkuehl on September 30, 2010, 06:23:24 PM
Hey everyone, what do you think of Dymatize products?  How do they stack up versus Optimum, BSN, etc?  Thanks in advance guys!  Little K

I took their protein when it first came out the vanilla flavor and it tasted pretty good but I didnt feel it did much for me to be honest. I was training pretty hard at the time and didnt really notice any improvement but then I started taking EAS pre packaged stuff and I noticed a good difference. It may have been just my imagination though.

I did take a free sample of "expand" i think it was called in the pill version and actually really like it. Ive looked for it at stores around here but havent found the pill version only the powder kind.

other than that i havent tried any of their products.

They seem to be a pretty solid line...lot of variety and well priced.

Tastes good, but the whey i had had way too much fat and carbs, only around 70% protein.

It's more a weight gainer than a protein powder, lol. No wonder it tastes good.

exactly the same for me, i take xpand energised and it's ok but their whey is shit honestly, i can see the difference when i take good brand like Relflex fo rexample, with dymatize i feel nothing, that's all, and i'm convinced it's not "psychological".

One of my buddies is doing the P90X thing and was showing me his protein powder yesterday. It was Dymatize. I think it had low sugar and carbs and about 25 gm of protein per scoop... he paid 29 bucks for a 3 lb tub. I have nothing against the content, but I get the same protein at Walmart or Target for $17 bucks.. Just a different name...

I have never tried the Xpand products, but I have updated our Energy Drink Comparison Chart (http://prosportnutrition.net/octane-energy-drink-side-by-side-comparison.aspx) to include both Dymatize Xpand Extreme, and Met-RX Amped.  Even though Naturally I am very biased towards our own product. I can honestly say that the dymatize Xpand Extreme does a pretty good job of including a good variety of aminos ( way more than most other products ).  However they don't say how much caffeine their product has per serving.  Searching online I found some forums that reported as much as 360mg per serving ( which seems a little high to be legit ) We tried to email them ( from an anonymouse email ) to get this info and they claimed it was proprietary information
