As I kid, when I didn't have cable, I couldn't watch bodybuilding contests on TV. So, watching wrestling is how I got interested in pumping iron. Here were two of my favorites from back in the day: The POWERS OF PAIN, Warlord (321 lbs) and Barbarian (300 lbs, even).
The first video, they face the Bolsheviks at the first SummerSlam; second video, they pummel two human punching bags.

I liked Superstar Billy Graham's epic overselling... "Look at that back kick! What a reverse thrust kick that was, man!!!"

Damn, crazy how they duplicated themselves and Wrestled against each other, hahaha , road warriors were hawk and animal and the Powers of pain were "The Warlord," and "The Barbarian."
BTW .. how about the Brutal 80's TRACKING button on a vcr to fix the static on a tape

Boris Zukov was better known to Mid-Atlantic fans as Private Jim Nelson. He was actually from Roanoke, VA (same hometown as Tony Atlas)...and he was about as much of a Russian as Tony was. :D

Both teams were in the NWA, as was shown in the Crocket Cup video. After that feud, Warlord and Barbarian went to the WWF.

Now, only did they duplicate themselves, but one turned from a Caucasian to a Samoan.

Barbarian really is Samoan numb nuts and is a very very strong person on or off AAS, when wrestlers yrs ago was asked who was the strongest wrestler in the ring, many said it was Barbarian, just raw power......but one of the nicest guys you could meet, (Mom met him at a signing)
I had the pleasure of meeting Animal maybe 20 yrs ago at a signing, guy was big as f^&k, not lean but just massive, arms were well into the 20's
-
Read an interview with Animal and he talked about how dedicated he was to lifting. Hawk was more of a get in/get out gym guy...which showed in his legs....haha
All four were massive, no doubt.

Bulldog Brower and Rick Flair would beat either one of them.

Hey, Einstein!!
It appears you missed the joke. Someone here claimed the Legion of Doom and the Powers of Pain were the same people. Another poster made a joke claiming that the LOD somehow duplicated themselves, with the copies becoming the Powers of Pain, in order to fight themselves in the ring.
I added to that joke, stating that apparently one of the members changed from a white man to a Samoan, that Samoan of course, being The Barbarian.
Please try to keep up.

I like the powers of pain's powerslam/flying headbutt finisher.
-
Well, since they were brought up, I might as well add the Legion of Doom (they were among my favorites, too).
